| I'm saved, now what? |

| Walking on air was a neat experience. Not knowing what to do next was even more of a question then a statement. I naturally asked my Pastor what was next, what should I do? He being a very wise man asked me 'Do I own a Bible?" "Somewhere," I answered him. He then gave me my orders, (well maybe not orders but a definite purpose.) Tell everyone you know what decision you have made, and read, reread and reread again the four gospels. So I did, well first I bought a Bible, (KJV) and then told everyone "I got saved". As I look back, I remember the looks, comebacks, and general "your crazy" from a lot of people who I though were my friends. I didn't understand it then, and latter as my walk with Jesus continued I began to understand. My first Bible verse I memorized was of course Johl 3:16, the second was John 14:6. Looking back I realize how one decision can change a life, living that decision takes work every day. My fellow workers didn't hang on me like they used to, I discovered other born-again Christians and kept growing. The my pastor decided, after I had been schooled (we call is class 101, what it meant to be a Christian, more of a how to like pray daily, devotionals, attended church, and where in the bible it appears) that now was the time for my first ministry. Teach Kids? Junior church?............. |
