Isreal, Against the the whole family which I brought up from the land
of Egypt saying....
v2 - You only have I known of the families of the earth; therefore I will
punish you for all your iniquities(sins).
Note here: He(the prophet) said hear the word that the Lord has
spoken. Amos warned Isreal of the unset judgment
of God, because of their sinfulness...
The problem our churches are having today is that men and women
that are standing in the office of the prophet, and not speaking nor
hearing what (thus said the Lord )We have prophets and prophetess
coming out of the woodwork, prophesying thus saith the Lord which in
fact He hadn't spoken it...People are flocking around such prophets,
wanting to hear a word from the Lord... The prophe-lying that is going
forth in our churches today is a word of prosperity,fame, they speak
things like safety which in fact God's pending judgment is
at hand...They speak a prophecy from their own lustful hearts and
not hearing the word from God.
Jeremiah 17:9-10 The heart is deceitful above all things desperately wicked, who can know it? v10. I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins
even to give to every man according to his ways to the friut of his doing.
Amos heard the word that the Lord spoken against the whole family that
He had chosen...Which includes his chucrh today...(we are His
chosen ones)because of all their sin He was going to punish them.
We are not hearing a lot of God's pending Judgment that is sure to come,
because of disobedience.We do not hear a lot of ministers preaching
on the coming destruction upon a sinful nation and people...We might
lose a lot of money (oops! I mean people)...None the less if your the last
man or woman standing...if everybody else get up and leave...You
better preach the truth...
Isaiah 58:1- Cry aloud, spare not, lift up your voice like a trumprt, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins...
Jeremiah to the lying prophets-
Jeremiah 23:16 Thus saith the Lord of Host, hearken(listen) not unto the
words that the prophets, that prophecy, unto you; (prophe-lye) They make
you vain; they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth
of Lord.
v17- They say still unto them that despise me, The lord hath said, ye shall
have peace, and they say unto everyone that walketh after the
imagination of their own heart, No evil shall come upon you.
gives. they were telling these sinful people that God said they were
don't turn from your wicked ways...
(Ro 6:23) For the wages of sin is death,but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
"If you are in sin there is no peace, there is no safety..If you don't turn to
The Most High God...except Jesus as your Savior...you have nothing to
look forward to but hell and all of it's fury... The Good Thing is that God
made a way for us to escape damnation through His Son Jesus Christ
It's not God's will that any man shall perish, but that all shall come
to repentance...
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
v17. God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the
world through Him might be saved.
Lastly: V18- For who hath stood in the councel of the Lord, and hath perceived
( grasped on to) and heard (received) His word?Who hath marked
(noticed what the Lord was saying )his word, and heard it?
Who has heard from the Lord? who will warn the people of the on set of my fury?
Who will speak the truth Holiness or Hell? who will warn the sinful man a sinful
nation of the wrath that's coming...who will hear the word that I have spoken: Saith the Lord.
