| The importance of "Whoever" |

The process of standing with friends as they watch their loved ones go through the valley of the shadow of death adds to the importance of this verse. Watching a loved one go from life to death is one of the most difficult human experiences. Knowing that the person passing on is one that has confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior doesn't take the physical suffering away, but it certainly takes the eternal "sting of death" away. Thank God that he has given us the ability to abide in Him through Christ Jesus our Lord. The victory over death was won by Jesus the only Son of God. Written in honor of Phyllis Fowler.... went to her eternal home Aug. 27th. 2008
4:15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. |
