Amazon vs Barnes and Nobel

I love…reading! Wow!! I do enjoy spending a couple of hours at Barnes & Noble reading books and drinking a coffee; but now I buy at Amazon. Yesterday I found myself buying a couple of books in Amazon and at the same time I was finishing a script and I reviewed a couple of wedding sessions. And I said…it has to change!

I started wondering, when did I get so busy? That’s my lately question!

What causes this lack of time? Poor Choice Management or Higher Expectations? Some people called “modern life-style”

Once I read “Leonardo Da Vinci accomplished amazing things. Of course, back then, there were 24 hours in a day. –Anonymous”

We have too many things and activities that demand “performance” and when we realize there is NO TIME. Work, Business, House, family, social activities, events, weddings, church, small group, facebook, blog, and I can’t forget…My daughter’s homework . But the reality is that time has become a currency!

Nowadays I need to schedule my leisure time, I have to plan when I’m not going to have a plan; BTW, I need time to synchronize my Ipod!!!! :( …Even technology demands our TIME!
Slowly but sure I’m changing my social behavior, I spend more time with a friend on facebook than at Barnes & Nobles or at any coffee.

Business wise I feel so right with our monthly meeting Bride’s Tea; because I know it takes a huge efford for my brides to get into our office and spend few time together; but we get to SHARE face to face. I have a theory “the power of facebook is fed by the biggest need of man and by his biggest weak…fellowship in the lack of time” Now; instead of calling my friend…I just poke her! (LOL sad but true)

We need to spend time with people; there is power in community! And we accomplish bigger things together! Planning a wedding can be the most stressful thing to do, two families getting along to make one day...The Best day!

But we can be so overloaded and tired that we get less done. Sometimes we waste time frittering and procrastinating because we are too tired (mentally, physically, or both) to get ourselves working. Have you noticed that when the number of cars passes the optimal that can travel on the freeway efficiently, traffic slows down into a jam and many fewer cars can travel on the freeway? Sounds familiar?

Do the best things with your time…share it with somebody else!

Our pastor this Sunday took out his cell phone and started texting in the middle of teaching.  It took me a minute to realize what he was doing.  And we're so used to seeing people text and do other things (having a conversation, eating, even driving) at the same time.  So it actually looked quite natural.

Of course he did it to illustrate how common and acceptible multi-tasking looked, even at the pulpit! :)  It's true these days that silence, along with a clear mind, is golden.

hola mayora...jejejjejee gracias! si ha sido un largo tiempo, muchos cambios en mi vida...ha estado muy intenso este summer..pero muy bendecido!
