Be Free to Forgive!

VERSE: God is a just God and He will repay the exact compensation owed you. He will settle and solve the cases of his people. (Hebrews 10:30)

THOUGHTS: Are you dealing with an unsolved case from your past that needs resolution? Are you waiting for your day of justice or repayment?

God promises in His Word that He is our vindicator. He is our defender. He will settle your case and repay everything the enemy has stolen. But in order to allow Christ to settle your debts, you have to release your concerns to Him and forgive those who have wronged you. You have to allow Jesus to take on the debt they owe you, in the same way that He took on your debt for sin. That s true forgiveness–freeing others, so that you can be free.

As you walk and live in forgiveness, you show that you trust in God to repay you and He will honor your faith in Him!

PRAYER: God, I believe in complete restoration in every area of my life! That starts with letting go of the past and forgiving those who have wronged me. I forgive them, Father, and I praise You for taking on my debt. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thanks Cheryl...Thanks my prayer too.
Forgiving someone frees you from their bondage.  As long as you hold on to past hurts , it gives that person power over you.  We must also include ourselves in the forgivness process. I know from experience.

Outstanding!

Oh, how I relate! Unforgiveness ate my lunch and popped the bag, more than once.

But through the process of understanding forgiveness, the Lord gave me this one phrase and I will never let it leave the tip of my tongue.

"Whatever you hold on to is really holding on to you"

That's powerful. Thanks Cherly and thanks Lady Contemplate!

Cheryl,

I had been unforgiving for so long that it was controlling me.  Letting go of it all has been a freeing experience.  The Lord is our judge and jury, we cast all our cares on Him. Thanks for the prayer, I still struggle at times in that area.
