Mel Has Gone Home

Thanks to those who prayed for Mel.

She had a rapidly progressing neurological disorder that had paralyzed her left side.

She was put down this afternoon so she would not suffer. She was only one year old.

Please keep me and my family in your prayers.

Dave, Mel sounded like such a sweet sweet companion.  Even though I never got to meet her in person, she certainly brought many smiles to my face.  My prayers are with you and your wonderful family.

So sorry Dave.  Its never easy to lose a pet we love, no matter the age.  It sounds like she was loved & will be missed dearly.

I am so sorry Dave.  I have been praying and wondering how she was doing.  I know what you are going through, since I had to put down my 17 year old cat Hershey in July, and then my cat Zagnut died of kidney failure in the early part of August.  I am still grieving both of them.  It is so hard to go on without them, and I know how sad you must be.  They are our "kids", that is for sure.  My heart is breaking for you.  You will be in my thoughts and prayers.  There is nothing I can say to offer comfort.  Except that someday you will see her again.  God will make sure of that.

I am so sorry to hear this my brother.  I have two precious dogs (one is 15 even) and I cannot imagine the day when they will leave our family.  I am there in Spirit with ya my friend.   Bless you and the family.

This event has really grieved me. I had no idea that I had grown so attached to Mel in just over the year that she blessed us to have her here in our home. I miss her very much. <sniff>
