Thanks Cheryl....yes, I am working for the LORD.  Not always in the way I want to, but I realize the time He gave to me, needs to be utilized for HIs glory. I have had some of what you are talking about in that second paragraphy and guess what?  I am taking a licking but keep on ticking for my savior!

Amen Amy...we don't walk by feelings huh....only by The Way and The Truth and it leads to The Life!!

14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Aye up Cheryl me old pal :-).  First of all, great words from a wise woman.

That prayer you wrote has some home-truths.  When trapped in a popularity contest, distracted by the glitter and lights, life can go pretty fast.  But when people enter into someones life with lies and tries to discredit you, it can go pretty slow.  I think for a lot of years, Job had a slow moment.  I personally have had fast moments, I've also experienced slow moments.  I've also experienced times when the clock seemed to have stopped.  And narrowing the Atlantic that separates America from the UK, I bet you have had too.  But the thing about it is, there are 24 hours in a day - for which we're all not exempt from. 8 approximately of which we spend time asleep.  So whether fast or slow, what we do with and in those remainders of time determines the outcome.  And the other thing about it is, time didn't go as fast as we can read it in the book of Job in Job's life.  There were some pretty l-o-n-g, sometimes years-worth of moments.

Stevie, aye brother!  You are so correct, the time frame for Job's walk was not defined by a time frame...I am assuming it was a L-O-N-G time!!

And Jesus is ALL we really need. He is a beautiful Savior. His promises are true and everlasting. Our time IS in His hands Cheryl.  Remember,

Luke 12:31 (Whole Chapter)
But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

19God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Praise the Lord. Love You Laurie Anne

By the help and grace of God, I will stand.  I will stand in the place where He has put me.  When the winds blow, when the sun shines hot, when the snow falls and covers the path so heavily that the path cannot be seen, I must continue to stand in the place where He put me.  If I try to move when the wind blows, I will loose my footing.  If I try to move when the sun shines so hot, I will become faint.  If I try to move when the snow covers the path, I will lose the trail.  I have no choice.  Though others say the contrary, though it appears to be better in other places, though my fantisies cause me to dream of a more pleasurable setting, I cannot afford to remove myself from the place where God has planted me.  So, as God gives me strength day by day, I will stand one day at a time.
