I am one of the financiers of three small businesses around the world. I took some of my tax return and used it to make a microloan to need people around the world who are trying to make a living. I have done this through kiva.org. “Kiva lets you lend to a specific entrepreneur in the developing world–empowering them to lift themselves out of poverty.” How amazing is that? We can give money to someone so that they can create economic independence for themselves and often times for their family. The people I’ve lent to still need some more funds for their business.
