God knows us sooo well

How true the verse is and in today's society it is being promoted in the media both on commercials and in the TV shows being produced. IE Gossip Girls. Which I will never watch and was greatly disappointed to see was mass promoted to get the most viewership it could. Just the commercials made me cringe. The networks want to create strife and then label it drama to boost ratings. If someone watching it is influenced by the shows premise, they might get the idea it is okay to talk about others behind there backs. God's word is clearly against this behavior, it is sin. But until the networks sees a drop in ratings it will stay a blot on our society.

Crazy isn't it??? For this reason we've practically given up on TV. (Except for the occasional football game, or the Olympics...)

I can understand your reasons to give up on it. News give the stories filled with hurt and pain more time then the uplifting ones that would show compassion or mercy. Then if you call them on it you are being close minded. It is just more proof that mans heart is becoming more depraved everyday. Only having Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord keeps the christian from this path.

I agree with Mike, it is so sad...my exhusband was in TV, the ratings are it...no matter the cost to us or our families....thanks for the excellent post!!

Your so welcome Cheryl. It has been eating at me for sometime and thought others might feel the same way. The days when people could see wholesome shows like Andy Giffith and Leave It to Beaver are well gone. If I must be labeled narrow minded and myopic to keep myself from the evil influences this media is try to throw at us then so be it .
