The fact that he can get people to follow him should encourage all of us to dwell on the scripture and learn everything we can so that we, too, would not be deceived.

I have heard of this dude.  The thing I can't understand is how could so many people be so blind in following this guy???  He says some of the most outrageous things.  Then I heard why they do...he teaches that you can do what ever you want.  That you are not accountable for sin.  Unbelievable!

I know! His "ministry" is just being brought to the U.S. and I can only imagine how Americans will cling to it with our society being so drawn to the very sins that he promotes. Young Americans accept things like premarital sex, drinking, ect... so of course they would follow a "Jesus" who does those things himself over the true saviour Jesus Christ!

Someone else blogged about this fellow a couple of months ago, as I recall. Anyone else remember? I only heard about the guy relatively recently.

Isn't he the guy who had all of his followers get "666" tatoos?  I remember reading about that a few months ago. Unbelievable.  It breaks my heart to see these people willing to sacrifice their souls for a bit of comfort and no accountability.  How do we reach people caught up in traps like this? It makes me think of Jonestown...a bit before your time, Cj, but it tore at my spirit just like these people.  My concern is what we are going to find out about this group 10 years from now.  Chilling.

Yeah that's him. Before this no cultist has ever been able to gain this many followers so I just think it's awful how many people are being lead away from the Truth. You know, they actually compare him to Jim Jones. They told him in an interview that he looked like Jones and he was flattered! I couldn't believe it... It's really sad to see the videos because of all the children in the church who call him father. They are taught that they are the "super race" as well, which I don't exactly understand because he has followers in every country. It is sad for me to see the kids line up and salute Miranda.

CJ, Some really funny things happened on my caveman blog tonight.  Check it out for a good laugh.  Your kind of humor.

I saw an interview with this guy several months back, and I came away from it pretty convinced that he knows he's not Jesus, even though he puts on "a good show", so to speak.  In the interview, he was careful to respnd to all questions about Jesus with "I" or "me", but then the interviewer asked him something along a different vein (I don't remember what it was, honestly), and he respondedd after a moment with something like "well you know, He _____________" and gave a description.  I don't know if the interviewer caught it, but I remember the look he had on his face and just this overwhelming "discernment" that he felt he had been caught in a lie and so he was trying hard to keep it covered.  For the life of me I cannot remember most of the details surrounding that interview, and I wish I could so I could see if I could find it again.

It's obvious his pseudo-ministry is un-Scriptural, that much is undisputed by almost all reputable Christian groups and denominations.  But I wish someone would do some thorough background work on the many who fill his pews and pocketbook to see what type of people give themselves over to such obvious misinformation and deception.

I guess if you were to think about it for a minute though, it is likely those people are not much different from the thousands of "faith followers", "name-it-and-claim-it's", "prosperity preachers" and so on.  Something strikes a person's particular fancy, their "ooo-wow" button, and good sense goes out the window in favor of a "fun ride" in the world of "if I had it my way".....

Okay, enough digression from me on this one.... :) lol

Well, I know what you mean. I've noticed him do that in interviews too! It is kind of entertaining to see him answer questions, because he continuously misquotes scriptures. I don't think that Jesus is going have forgotten the bible when He comes back....

I SAW THAT CNN CLIP ON THE SO CALLED JESUS MAN. I FOUND IT VERY DUSTURBING. I CAN'T BELEIVE ALL THE SOULS THAT ARE BEING MISLEAD BY THIS WOLF! WE NEED TO PRAY THAT GOD WILL OPEN THE EYES OF THEIR HEARTS AND TURN AWAY FROM THIS MANS DECEPTION.

On one of the prime time news shows it showed a "church service".  During the praise and worship/music service, the children would all stand around him and sing the songs TO him.  Truly turns my stomach.

I know, seeing the kids worship him or hearing them talk about him is the worst part for me, too. These people need alot of prayers.

And some people have the nerve to say the biblical prophesy is nonsense .. With people like this.

If this keeps up, I pray we're ready for the real one.
