It has been a little while since we have gotten a poem from Sherri Lynn, only because she is a school teacher and with school starting she was quite busy, And i must say that i was very pleased when thease two arrived on my desk, Thease two poems are the answer to last weeks devotional Spring Cleaning by Janie Davidson, and my devotional of the Godly woman. I'm sure i speak for all of us when i say; thank you Sherri for taking time out of your busy schedule and allowing us to share a cup of cool water that is your writings, they can only have been inspired by God himself. We love you over here!!! Johnny and the team at G.E.M Ministries.
You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and of the plate, so that the outside may be clean also.Matt 23:26 AMP.
From the Inside Out by: Sherri Lynn
Time for a clean-up from the inside out
Refreshing your spirit, what you are about
Listen to promptings as silently we're told
Goals we must accomplish as daily we grow old
Linger not in judgement but seek to accept
Heed your Father's counsel don't dare to be inept
Wipe away transgression, while steeped in daily prayer
Remembering the sacrifice and the One who's always there
Seek to bear your witness, testimony can address
Model to your neighbors, repent as you transgress
Sweep away the sins, with Jesus's sacrifice the broom
Amazed with all removed, the bounty of the room
Remaining for your worship, your praise to the Father
Daring to tithe remembering prayer is not a bother
But an answer to the questions that daily will erupt
Reminds us of creation when the world starts to corrupt
The sanctity of self and the temple held within
Today is where it starts, tomorrow will begin
your journey home
He who finds a [true] wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.Prov 18:22 AMP.
A Treasure Without Measure by: Sherri Lynn
A treasure without measure is a woman in the home
One who will abide without needing ere to roam
Her hands are always busy filling other's needs
A mind that is fulfilled with advisement that she heeds
She does not put herself first, but is happy in the shade
Basking in the glories of accomplishments well made
Of those within her realm, those within her heart
Ever yet abiding and yet a major part
continuance of the role as a treasure without measure
Yet you must insure, her happiness and pleasure
And forever she'll endure, like the rib that one was taken
At a time before the fall, when we were forsaken
Thinking that somehow and someway we knew it all
Alone you're not fulfilled, so prepare for your withdrawal
If you do not find the puzzle piece meant to make you whole
One that you must cherish with no need to control
Knowing God's one true blessing has existed from creation
Being the female form created with intent for procreation
A silent, constant strength correctly picked will then protect
Both your heart and your soul and you surely can expect
Blessings and the bounty when two can walk as one
And truly you will know that a new life has begun
if you find
such a treasure without measure
