| MyChurch brings another interesting verse |

Well,
This morning after chasing around trying to find clothes for kids on Monday and chastising one of the three dogs for his mischief in the night I open up my page on Mychurch and here's this wonderful verse from the first chapter of Revelation.
1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. Revelation 1:8
Read this, it says, I am the Alpha and the Omega, in the ancient alphabet, Alpha is the beginning and Omega is the end. But read carefully what it says next. Who is, who was, and who is to come. A lot of people might be confused at what this means, but God is telling each of His people, past, present and future, that He is, was, and will be forever, the Almighty God the Father, the Creator of Heaven and Earth. First, Last and Always, that's what is being said here in Revelation. What's going on you wonder? Why is God repeating Himself? If you pay attention, God repeats himself many, many times throughout the Bible. He repeats His guidelines through many a prophet, including His Son Jesus. We've seen that to be true to God we must realize what part God plays in our lives. God is our All in All, He is our everything. He's in the reflection you see in the mirror. He's in the rainbow that appears from the clouds, the sun as it shines in the sky, the birds as they soar, the water as it burbles or roars in lakes and streams and rivers and oceans. Everything we see, or are destined to see, God has brought to us. God does this because He is first, last and our path toward eternity. There is a song that Johnny Cash sings and I sometimes play it during sermons, Personal Jesus, and it's true, Jesus is personal, He fits each of us individually in unique ways, just as God does the same. My view of Jesus and God may be different from your view, but it's the similarity which brings us together in one forum to share our belief that there is one God who gave a huge part of Himself to us to bring us salvation in eternal life. Think about it. This is the Word and the Light as brought to us through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen and so it shall be.
