A group of youth we know run around together...one of the younger sisters (17 yrs old) committed suicide just a llittle while ago. Please pray for this family and these youth...none of them attend church that I am aware of, nor will they...

Father,
We ask you to comfort this family and group of friends through this tragedy, even though they don't know you--you're love for them extends beyond their own choices and beliefs because they are each one a precious creation of your own making, irregardless of their beliefs.
We thank you for surrounding them with those who are called by your name, and for allowing them to plant the seeds that will lead them to a future of faith and eternal life. We thank you for inspiring small words of comfort, small acts of kindness, small truths that can flow past stony unbelieving mindsets to turn the tide, and turn their paths back to you.
In Yahshua's name, we give You thanks that this is done according to Your will.

Cheryl,
That is tragic & I pray that her family seeks God through all of this & that the other youth turn to God for comfort. It is so tough as to what to say to them but God will give the words to whoever He calls to talk to the youth & her family. This really hit me because my husband & I just took over the teen youth group in our church & wednesday night when we meet I will ask them to pray for this girl & her family.

While the death of the young lady is tragic, I pray that God would use this to draw the others to himself. May the Hound of Heaven pursue them, and may they respond to his call upon their lives. Someday this group of young people will call themselves Christian, and be part of a community of Christ's disciples - such is my prayer.

I hear what you're saying Cheryl. Believe me, I do.
I don't know what its like in your country, but church nowadays in this country is the last place people seek when they want or need help. Although I don't know personally the circumstances surrounding the suicide of that person, it seems that person needed help a long time ago. Could have been weeks ago, could have been months ago. And the only time people find out about it is when its happened. "The church" needs to step up its action and help these people before it happens, not when it happens. As the saying goes, prevention is better than cure.
I have come to realise over these past several years, what's written in the bible is more of a lifestyle than a religion. But if people present it as being only a religion, and that it bears no relevance whatsoever into what's happening in the world today, whatever people say - it won't get through.
I know this response will not be the answer people are looking for, but I want people (including myself) to look at the solution before the problem hits them square in the face. As I often say to people, the message is sacred, but the method in which "we" put it across needs to change. Why? Because people's lives depend on it. That suicide is just one example of many. |

Dear Heavenly Father;
This is your daughter Marcia, I am coming to you as you taught me to, John chapter 15.
First I ask that you forgive me of anything I have unwillingly said or done to offend You, as I have forgiven everyone who has offended me. Matthew chapter 5.
I now use the authority that You have given me through the empowerment of Your Holy Spirit, to bind up every demonic spirit, that will try to hold or hinder these prayers from reaching your throne room. Matthew chapter 18, Luke chapter 10, for we wrestle not with flesh and blood but against powers, against principalities, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, Ephesians chapter 6.............
Now Father I ask that you heal the wounds in the hearts, minds and souls of the family members of the one who committed suicide. Only You know the deep pain they are suffering. Open their minds of understanding, cause them to realize the reason for the deep depression that will cause someone to want to commit suicide. Draw them to a place where they will have to reach out to You through Your Word. Then Father, I pray that You will use this tragic situation to bring others into Your fold. You are the God who will take the broken pieces and put them together so that it is made whole. Make this family whole and give them the peace that surpasses all understanding. Cause them all to drink deeply from Your well of Living Water. I offer to You this prayer on behalf of this family, in the name of my precious Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and now I rest assured that you will send Your angels to deliver the answers and it will be a testimony of Your Grace and Mercy, Amen. |

Dear My Church Group
Yesterday I submitted a blog to begin a prayer group. I have not received any responses so far, even though a few people have already read this blog. Then this morning I read about this prayer request and I believe this is confirmation that our Heavenly Father wants us to come to Him in prayer for those who do not know Him. The door is open like never before. I suppose it is because of what is happening on this planet and what is to come.

| It is a tragic thing when a young lady or man takes their own life It is to murder one of God's children. Though if she is repentant. Surely Father will forgive her. It is such a waste. She will not know what it is like to have children, or to marry. I so pray the family can repair the damage and come to Jesus. |

Cheryl you are a woman of God and He will bless you for that. Don't be burdened by the world, but let the peace Christ gives renew your soul and strength. I know that being in a leadership position can be strainious, and I know that seeing stuff like this can wear you down and discourage you, remeber to balance youself by focusing on all of hte victories that Christ has achieved even here on mychurch, take Amber for example, a new christian of just a few m onths thanks to mychurch, and nowflourishing with the Bible each day, in fact, she probly knows more about hte Bible than I do at this point! her enthusiam, zeal, and genin thirst for God's word is refreshing and inspiring, she has gone from the one asking questions in doubt, to the one who is answering them for others in jjust several months. She speaks with wizdom beyond her years, and is full of hte Spirit. God has spoken rather directly to me and mayn others numourous times. This is just ONE of the many AWESOME victories Christ has here for us, keep your chin up, and just please don't be overwhelmed by all this, remeber balance, make it a goal to for every dissapojntment or sorrow you experience, that you seek out one victory!
I know you know all this already, probably better than I do, but I have been there before when it seems like there is so much trajedy around us, and there is, but many times I forget the many victories we have as well
So praise God in the storm amen?

Father I come to you asking you to wrap your arms around the parents of the child that took her life, comfort them, touch their hearts and help them through their time in need. I ask you to touch the youths that know this child and all the youth that's in the same situation. Father we need you right now to come and open the ears and minds of these young people so that they can hear you and those whom you send to speak with them to allow their mind to be renewd and come to you with their arms open asking for forgiveness and recieve you as their lord and saviour.
