This issue has been complicated by two things: 1) people who do wrong don't want to be called on it, and 2) Christians have a short-sighted view of the issue, repeating the doctrines of political correctness rather than Scripture. Here's my take on it: We are not to judge with our own values, rather we are to judge everything on the basis of biblical values. And a few verses in support: John 5:30 "I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me." John 7:24 "Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment." Joh 8:16 "Yet even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Father who sent me." Romans 12:3 "For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned." Romans 14:10-12 "Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; for it is written, 'As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.' So then each of us will give an account of himself to God."
1 Corinthians 1:10 "I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment." 1 Corinthians 2:15 "The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one." 1 Corinthians 5:3 "For though absent in body, I am present in spirit; and as if present, I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did such a thing." 1 Corinthians 5:12 "For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?" 1 Corinthians 6:2-3 "Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!" 1 Corinthians 7:25 "Now concerning the betrothed, I have no command from the Lord, but I give my judgment as one who by the Lord's mercy is trustworthy." 1 Corinthians 10:15 "I speak as to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I say."
