| Relativism And The Modern Christian |

3:36 He who believes in the Son has eternal life; he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God rests upon him.
Jesus always had a way of telling it like it is. It's just too bad that Christians today cannot evoke that same spirit of Christ in their witness to the world. We need to wake up and see how Christianity has become weak in its witness. But just why is this so?
It is because Christians have succumbed to the idea of relativism. We have succumbed to the idea that all faiths lead to salvation. No?? Then why do we act that way?
Dear Christian -- listen to me. There is NO REASON that we have to water down the message that the Bible gives us about THE ONLY WAY to eternal life. We need to speak these words of life into the lives of people all around us. We need to tell them the unabashed truth of the Gospel.
Will we be rebuffed? Will we be reviled? Will we be talked about unfairly? Of course we will! But we should expect that. Jesus told us that we SHOULD EXPECT IT. The world hated Him and it will hate us for bringing them the message of eternal salvation.
Today, we are living in the "feel good" days. Sermons are composed and preached to make people "feel good." There are certainly times and places for those sermons, but if that is all that is being preached and heard by people, how are they going to know ALL the Word of God. Not only do we need to tell people that JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY, but also that if they do not choose Jesus as Lord and Savior that THEY WILL GO TO HELL!
I would rather scare a person into Heaven than to lull them into Hell.
