91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 91:2 I will say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust. 91:3 For he will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence. 91:4 He will cover thee with his pinions, And under his wings shalt thou take refuge: His truth is a shield and a buckler. 91:5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, Nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 91:6 For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, Nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 91:7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; `But' it shall not come nigh thee. 91:8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, And see the reward of the wicked. 91:9 For thou, O Jehovah, art my refuge! Thou hast made the Most High thy habitation; 91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent. 91:11 For he will give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all thy ways. 91:12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, Lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 91:13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the serpent shalt thou trample under foot. 91:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 91:15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble: I will deliver him, and honor him. 91:16 With long life will I satisfy him, And show him my salvation. Psalm 92 A Psalm, a Song for the sabbath day. This whole chapter is familiar to most of us. For many it is our personal favorite, my mom being one of them. So because of that, I began to think on it. My mind began to wander through the whole chapter, and once again, as often happens the familiar takes on a new meaning. I then started to think about all of my cyber-friends who are in the path of the recent storms. I realized there were many, I began to pray this psalm for them. I prayed that they would dwell in the shelter of the Most High, that they would rest in the shadow of the Almighty. That they would realize that God is their refuge and their fortress, and they would whole trust in God.That they would make the Most High their dwelling,their refuge, so that no harm would befall them. That He would protect them because they love Him. That He would be with them in any trouble that might be present to them. That they would be delivered, and that they would be satisfied with long life.Putting them in better hands than Allstate. Maybe you are one of my cyber-friends that are not in the path of the storm. I prayed the same for you. Because no matter what the storm, what the danger,God is in control. He is the keeper of those who fear and love Him. He is the deliverer, the rescuer, the savior/protector. What an awesome mighty God who cares, who loves us so that we may take shelter under His wings. So whatever the circumstance, whatever the " danger", I pray for you my friends. If you find yourself, safe,well, complete and whole at the reading of this blog.
