| Hurts so good |

We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Yet in the midst of whatever storm it is we are going through it is so hard to see God's purpose. That is where faith plays such an important role. Therefore we are not to think of ourselves so highly, because even our faith is a gift of God (Romans 12:3). So we fix our eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith and we follow his example. Jesus, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross and its shame. All praise and glory goes to Him.
12:11 For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant; later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. |
