The same way you pick up your cell phone
and dial the numbers...
Is the same way you should open up your mouth and pray to God.
"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know" (Jer 33:3).
The same way you drive to the fast food restaurant,
buy a burger, and bite into it...
Is the same way you should drive to church,
open up your Word and devour what God says.
"Taste and see that the LORD is good;
blessed is the man who takes refuge in him" (Ps. 34:8).
The same way you straighten your house
when the pastor is stopping by...
Is the same way you should fix up spirit in order to impress God.
"Wash and perfume yourself, and put on your best clothes" (Ruth 3:3).
The same way you groom yourself for work, work diligently for praise and that paycheck...
Is the same way you should perform in the Kingdom of God.
"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus" (Phil. 3:14).
The same way you slap your child
when he is out of control...
Is the same way God will correct you.
"Blessed is the man whom God corrects;
so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty" (Job 5:17).
The same way you pick up the remote
and search the channels...
Is the same way you should seek God until you find Him.
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matt. 6:33).
So it is in the natural...so it is in the spiritual.
