Overslept for my usual contemporary service so I attend the later more traditional service.  It is the same Pastor but I was struck by how different he is. Not better or worse, and not that he looks different in robs with a more commanding presence, but a different focus for the whole service.  Far more attention to singing, he plays acoustic guitar during some of the hymens in this service.  At the start of the service he actually made us practice the 1st verse to one of the harder hymens.  Is that normal?  I have never seen that before. 

Not only do we not have hymnals in the contemporary service but 1/2 the time they can't get the words up on the screen and we are all just standing there during the music.   I always thought Pastor Bob liked our service because it's more laid back, but now I wonder.  I'm sure he likes both services for different reasons.
