Thank you for the post, Steve!  My Will and I have the exact same problem!  It's something I've always struggled with, but lately God is really calling it to my mind!!!  It's time I listen and get to work!  Discipline!  ~Val~

Yes, thank you for the blog!  Exactly the same problem here, too.  On the bottom of my shoe on Sunday I wrote "quiet time".  I need to discipline myself to make time for the "quiet time" and so that me, Will, and all my thoughts come together to talk with God.  Thanks again!

In the book, Love to Pray, I read this.... "A disciplined daily devotional life is not optional for a growing Christian. It's a must."   OUCH!  That sure steps on my toes!!

I totally agree with that statement Lisa. I have a daily devotional that I have had for years and I don't think I could ever read it enough. Thanks for the story Steve. I have trouble with that too and  one thing I have found, which I don 't know how many of you would feel comfortable doing this, is I  pray out loud so that my mind doesn't wonder. I have even found myself falling alseep during my prayer and when I wake up in the morning I have to apologize to God for it. No more laying down and praying for me.
