| God's Will..A Safe Place to Be |
|
| |
I came across this today in my daily devotional, and it struck me as so simple, yet profound: God's will is a place of safety. When we walk in the will of God, we find safety. When we live outside the will of God, we forfeit His protection. We must regularly ask God to show us what His will is and for Him to lead us in it. We must ask Him to speak to our hearts so that He can tell us.
I gave that a lot of thought, and read several scriptures on God's will and safety....
30:21 And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
4:8 In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; For thou, Jehovah, alone makest me dwell in safety. Psalm 5 For the Chief Musician; with the Nehiloth. A Psalm of David. I pray for God's will every day of my life. A lot of times, I don't know what I want, or I don't know the answer to a problem, or I can't make a decision, or various other brain problems! But I know that whatever God's answer is, it's the right one, so I always pray for God's will to be done. But I have never thought of His will as a place of safety! But of course, it is, and that's where I want to stay.

1:9 And so, from the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
1:33 but he who listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of evil." Lord, help me to always walk in Your will, in a way that is pleasing to You, being fruitful in my actions and increasing in the knowledge of Your ways. Keep me in the safety and protection of Your arms, Father, so that I might never step off the path that you have for me. In Your Son's Precious Holy Name, AMEN!

In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; For thou, Jehovah, alone makest me dwell in safety.
I pray for his will each and everyday. Without it I would be lost. I also ask that he continues to open my ears to his voice so I may know that it is him.
I ask Father that you continue to let your children know your will and way in everything that we do. Chastise us when we are wrong (only way to learn) and praise us when we get it right. We want YOUR praise not man's. We love you Father and we want to give your love to others as you have given it to us. In Jesus name i pray-AMEN |

| That is fine teaching loved the pictures with the Scriptures. The LORD showed me that some time back. To me he showed me His will is like an Umbrella. As long as I am under the umbrella (His authoirity) then I am safe from the elements (wind sun and the rain) so if I choose to step outside of the umbrella then I am subject to whatever is out there I am no longer protected. Good teaching Woooo hooo! |

| Oh this was POWERFUL my sister.....I too, loved the pictures with the scriptures....it really brought it all to life (smile)...One thing that I pray daily is to be in the PERFECT WILL of God....not His Good, or Acceptable Will, but His Perfect Will. What you have shared here today...has truly enhanced my prayer, even the more. God Bless you my sister, and thank you so much for sharing ;o) |

Oh! Amen! And, I so love the accompanying images. I especially like the peaceful boardwalk, and of course 'us represented' in the hands of God. I love the sound of how this is worded. I have always thought of God in this way, and often picture and speak of God's will as being a safe boundary. The picture in my thoughts is of sheep safely, securily grazing inside the pen. Knowing safety/security in it, they are able to nibble on the food, w/o concern for the dangers on the outside.

This is great Carol, we must keep our eyes fixed, set and focused upon the Lord and be still and listen for his small still voice and be obedient and do what the Lord tells us to do. |

This is perfect! I constantly ask for His will to be done in my life and to show me His will, but sometimes I fail to ask in all situations. We must ask for His will to be done in ALL things. Then we shall have perfect peace. Thank you very much for the reminder!
Love & Hugs, Pam |

Margie, me too! I'm sure that I have stepped out of that perfect will before, but God always lovingly brings me back and gives me a blessing that is even better! He is so awesome. God bless you for your encouraging words!
