Oh Boy.....Blasphemy God WILL Not Forgive.

This is The Knowing better, rather than not knowing better.

Now this does not mean to go back to the Law & Earn Salvation by Works or Signs or Gifts.

But We do Obey...& Must Obey, & Not that, We can not Obey...making Excuse.

Some Better do their homework.

I Love the Verses, & also Love First John & also I do understand them & in Context.

ok guys I need help because this is where I have a hard time understanding. I know there is a scripture that says something like "After we have tasted the gifts and turn away, there is no forgiveness if sin" I don't remember where it is or even if I quoted it exactly, but I don't understand the difference between this scripture an a person who backslides as they call it, then later come back to the Lord. I'm confused

crystal,

6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

6:3 And this will we do, if God permit.

6:4 For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame.

10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance [belongeth] unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known [it], to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog [is] turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

These are just a few scriptures that I have found revelant to your questions.  I always suggest that everyone to read the word for themselves and ask the Holy Spirit for the correct interpretation.  The truth will always set you free My friend.

ok guys, for awhile I will step back from this one, not to avoid it, but because I'm confused and when I'm confused, it's best to step back and study. Hebrews is the scripture I was talking about, but what both of you say sounds right. I really need to understand this scripture because if I'm understanding it right, since many people I know walked away from the Lord, but has now come back, and truely repented and is serving him with everything they have, still they have no hope, including myself. If thats true, whats the point? Am I missing something here?

crystal, the reason why I am asking these questions is because I have heard too many people claim to be saved at one time and then backslid and my question to these people is always, What were you saved from?  I believe that once someone has received the Holy Spirit, they become born-again (they become a new creature in Christ), and the Holy Spirit will not jump out of them so that they can go back to their old lifestyle and wait until they are done to come back inside of them, they will have to willfully turn their back on the grace of G-d given to them by the empowerment of His Holy Spirit.  I then think of the all of the high priest in the Old Testament who all died when they got into the holy of holies, much more us who have the bible old and new testament, the blood of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to help us not sin..   I am trying to make this as simple as possible and perhaps I am not making sense to some, but I am praying that some will at least  think before they act, and know that G-d is not mocked, that whatsoever mankind sows that shall they reap.  I am not excluding myself in this equation.

Regardless of what we all believe the wages of sin is still death.  I believe the fear of the Lord is truly the beginning of knowledge (of who G-d truly is).  There are several examples of G-d's wrath in the Old Testament.  What makes us think that we can get into heaven after insulting G-d's Grace?  1 Peter  1/14-  As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance but as He which has called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation (living). Because it is written, be ye holy ; for I am holy1 Peter 1/23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever.  1 Peter 3/12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. 1 Peter 4/17-19 For the time is  come that judgement must begin at the house of God and if it first begins with us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?, and if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and sinner appear?  Wherefore, let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him, in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Jude  speaks of certain men who crept in anawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. verse 12, These are spots in your feasts of charity (love), when they feast  with you, feeding themselves without fear, clouds they are without water, carried about of winds, trees whose fruit, withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots....

I hear the term "we are not perfect and will never be perfect", all the time; yet when I ask these people to show me in the scriptures where Jesus Christ  said that, they are always at a loss for words.

David, I am struggling to understand how someone can be filled with the Holy Spirit, (born-again) and continue a life of sin, which is what you are saying.  You are telling your audience that the Holy Spirit could not keep you free from the bondages of sin, so there is no hope in the Holy Spirit.  What a lie!.  You are speaking of the same Holy Spirit who Jesus Christ was filled with when He walked this planet. You are speaking of the one who Jesus Christ said He would send back to help us.  Jesus Christ refers to the Holy Spirit as the Comforter, Helper, He is responsible to bring all that Jesus Christ taught to our rememberance so that we can choose to obey Jesus' commands, He will prune us through the written word, He will show us the deep things of G-d, He will show us things to come. He is the born-again believer's all in all.  He gives the born-again believer the POWER to live a victorious sinless and pure life.  That is the hope that Jesus Christ said He will send and He is faithful to His Promise.  Hence the reason why He told His disciples that He would not leave them nor forsake them.  In Mark chapter 16, Jesus promised five signs will follow the believer.  Jesus sent ALL the help we need and that is the HOPE I have in Him. Now, if I choose to turn my back on the help Jesus Christ sent to me, then it is my game and Satan will eat me up like He has eaten up so many already.  Do not be fooled!  G-d will not be mocked.  He said WOE! unto those who offend His children.

You have twisted the  Holy Scriptures to please yourself and is trying to encourage others to do the same.  You have offended  and grieved the Holy Spirit.  You turned your back on the Spirit of Grace and like the Holy Word states, the wages of sin is still death and if anyone think that they are worthy of the Grace of G-d after willfully sinning against Him with the power of the Holy Spirit inside of them, I would not like to be in their shoes come judgement day.  The first  thing Jesus Christ told His disciples (and His followers) to do, is to leave everything and everyone and come follow Him.  His message and John the baptist message still is (repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand).  That word repent means to me do not do that thing again, turn away completely.  We are commanded to live a Holy life in order to get into the kingdom of heaven and the bible is redundant with that message.  The book of Revelations tells it all.

I am offended by what you are saying and cannot allow you to go any further on this blog.

Okay David, Now what do you hope to accomplish?  dis-regard and dis-respect for my blog and my wishes?  I had put a block on you because I did not wish to continue this dialogue with you and further and I told you this in my last response to you.  However, you have somehow pulled up all of the responses that I had deleted and that tells me more about the spirit you have in you which is in complete disregard for me and my wishes.  How would you like it if I had done the same to you?

I call this harrasement and I will advise the management of this site because apparently people have a way to get into someone's personal information and pull up anything they want.

It seems to me Marcia that if one has a public blog and blocks one because they do not agree with what you say in this case it would be discrimination on a religion base is that what this is discrimination on the fact that i do not agree with what you are saying. and if that be the case it would be a criminal act and a violation of mans laws and ordinances and a violation of my right to free speech. Think about this when you hit that block button again.

All i wanted to do was to talk about heb 10:26 with you and what it truly ment and what the writer of the book was saying and you said i installed the Holy Ghost now did he say that to you and if not who are you to judge me and if you say he said this and he did not the word of God says let that man be accursed. see i have study on this and the writer was speaking to the Jews that came out of the law of Moses and the sacrifice of animals to forgive sin and went to believing Jesus as the savior but then they turned and went back to the old way of the law and in doing so they had in order to go back reject Jesus as lord and turn there backs on him totally and in this fact there was no sacrifice left for them they committed apostasy knowing that when they did this they would have to blasphem blaspheme the Holy Ghost .So you see and if you will study the commentary on this you will see that there is only one sin unforgivable and to willfully sin is not it yes i do believe in repenting and turning away from sin we have to live a life of righteousness this only comes from the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost by way of the blood of Jesus i never said we did not have to live Holy lives i said if we fall and mess up willfully we are forgiven if we repent and ask God to forgive us. And no we do not at any time deserve the Grace of God before or after we receive Christ as lord it is a free gift he give us as we need it fir he said his grace is sufficient for are needs.

ok all I have to say is this, I can't answer for anyone else, anyones right to block or anything else but myself. I was not offended by Davids comments. All he did was encourage me to keep walking this walk and not give up because I thought I was hopeless. I'm not as strong in the word as I should be , I need to seek more often mysef. I f David was encouraging me that I could knowingly sin everday and still repent, I would have ignored the entire matter, because even I know better than that. But if you think about it, even some churches preach once saved always saved. Isn't this the same thing? I sure hope all this gets straigntened out. Blessings to you both my friends

crystal, I have added a video to this blog that may further cause you and others to understand what this blog is all about.  Yes, some Churches preach many things, but we have to seek the Creator of all mankind for ourselves, to know what is acceptable to Him.  The pastor, reverend, etc., will not be with any of us when our name is called my friend and I truly believe in my heart that we must study to show ourselves to be approved by G-d a workman that need not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we must rightly divide the Written Word for ourselves.  We must seek first the kingdom of G-d and His righteousness and then all else will be given unto us. Why? because even the elect will be fooled if it were possible.  We have to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.  Without purity, no one will see the Lord.

Let's say I have a vehicle and it gets broken down, and even with the manual in hand I do not have the tools to fix it so what do I do?  I go to the mechanic who has the knowledge to fix it and I will do so with 100% faith that when he returns my vehicle to me it is fixed adequately.  Well, the same principle applys to the Spiritual world.  Jesus Christ provided the manual (the bible) and He also provided the Holy Spirit to fix what is broken inside of every human being.  However, if we do not allow His Spirit to dwell inside of us and apply His principles, we will just remain broken.  Grace is given but like John Bevers says in the video, grace is higher than the law.  Jesus expects us to live according to His commands and He said to even look at a woman to lust is adultery.

I pray that we all forsake all unrighteousness and live the victoriously righteous life that Jesus Christ wants us to live and that when we all stand before the judgement seat of the Creator He can say "welcome into my kingdom, you who have forsaken  all to follow me".  Jesus walked the straight and narrow path and He expects all of His followers to do the same.

Shalom to all my friends
Your sister in Christ

In order to enter THE KINGDOM OF GOD, ONE MUST BE BORN AGAIN. John 3/3. Once you are born-again and  WILLFULLY SIN THERE IS NO FORGIVENESS FOR THIS SIN.  Hebrews chapter 10/26 ( read the whole chapter) for full explanation.  Also you may want to read Hebrews chapter 6, it speaks of repentance from dead works.  Also Matthew chapter 5 speaks of righteousness and who will NOT enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

This part here is what i do not agree with we all at one time or another have sinned willfully so if what you are writing here is true then non of us have a chance is this what you are saying marcie?

TRUE GRACE

Grace is chen in Hebrew and charis in Greek. In both languages it may be translated as favor. However, in relation to G-d, grace is not passive favor, such as "to receive favor," rather it is active favor, such as "to be favored with a gift." This active form is the way grace is to be understood in Scripture. In fact, charis is translated as gift many times in the New Covenant writings in connection with the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12:4). In this context it clearly means an endowment or enablement.

G-d's grace is His willingness to provide us with His enablement. When "Noah found grace in the eyes of the L-RD" (Genesis 6:8), it says in the Hebrew "Noach matsa chen b'ayini YHVH."  This may also be translated, "By the vision of the L-RD Noah came forth enabled," or even "Noah was gifted through the insight of YHVH." Grace does not mean that G-d accepts us regardless of our actions, but that G-d makes us acceptable. He provides the means whereby we can be accepted by Him.

The belief that grace and mercy are near synonyms, almost interchangeable concepts, is a gross misunderstanding by many. So much of Christianity thinks of grace as a kind of blanket mercy which is constantly forgiving all sin and cancels out the Law of G-d. Many have believed the error that grace allows them to disobey G-d's Law; that since grace abounds, sin may abound without penalty. This is especially taught by those who wish to ignore the eternal Law of G-d, or certain parts of it. Such doctrine is a nearly fatal error, because it waters down G-d's righteousness and calls into question His eternal faithfulness. It also misconstrues His kindness, and many have gone astray and departed from the truth because of this misinformation. Disdain for G-d's Law puts one in mortal danger. Hopefully, this danger can be reduced through a fuller understanding of the Word.

Mercy is the forgiveness of G-d that comes as a result of sincere repentance (changing directions). When we sin, then sincerely repent of that sin by changing our actions and relying on His righteousness, G-d will forgive our sin. "Sin is transgression of the Law [Torah]," (1 John 3:4). Therefore, when we know we have transgressed the Law of G-d we are required to repent of our way and return to walking after His Law, which is His light. His mercy allows us to return to Him.

"For the commandment is a lamp, and the Torah [Law] is light, and reproofs of instruction are the way of life," (Proverbs 6:23).

"Yes, all Israel has transgressed Your Torah, even by departing, that they might not obey Your voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the Torah of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against Him," (Daniel 9:11).

"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:8,9). "If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not perform the truth. But if we walk in the light, just as He is in the light, we have fellowship together, and the blood of Yeshua HaMashiach, His Son cleanses us from all sin," (1 John 1:6,7).

This clearly shows that G-d's mercy abounds to forgive sin because of the blood sacrifice of Yeshua. However, walking in the light of G-d, His Torah, is also necessary for fellowship to continue with Him. G-d's light is all the instruction that He has ever spoken.

G-d's grace, on the other hand, is the very thing we need in order to perform that which is pleasing to Him, namely to obey His Law. This is why Sha'ul (Paul) said, "Where sin abounds grace does much more abound," (Romans 5:20). Sha'ul did not mean that sin no longer mattered, or that grace would overlook sin. Rather, it is grace that is needed to bring righteousness into action in our lives, which is why he states, "That as sin has ruled until death, even so might grace rule through righteousness until eternal life by Adonai Yeshua HaMashiach," (Romans 5:21).

Grace rules through righteousness. So grace is the enablement to act out righteousness. Grace does not forgive sin, nor does it cancel the Law! "Shall we continue sinning that grace may abound? May it never be! How shall we who are dead to sin live any longer in it?" (Romans 6:1,2). Grace, then, is the power not to sin! Not to transgress the Law! The goal is to become like Messiah Yeshua who was perfect in all points of the Law, "full of grace and truth."

So the difference is this: mercy forgives us of sin, but it is grace that enables us not to sin.

When Paul said we are no longer under the Law, but under grace (Romans 6:14, 15), he was not negating the Law, but instead emphasizing our power toward the Law because of grace. The Law is no longer something pressing on us to showcase how unlawful we are. Rather, now grace is pressing on us to fill us with the righteous nature of G-d Himself. In such a case the Law is no longer a burden, but rather the usual result of being filled with the divine nature. "For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome," (1 John 5:3).

It is the grace of G-d toward us that provides us with the New Covenant in Messiah Yeshua. The prophet noted that this "new covenant" was to be marked by a new relationship with the Law [Torah]; not negating the Law, but putting it in us! "Behold, the days come, say YHVH, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah. Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers...But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel: After those days, says YHVH, I will put my Torah [Law] in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people," (Jeremiah 31:31-33).

We may say then, that the grace of G-d concerning the New Covenant is the ability to perform the Law with power from the inner person. So the purpose of Sha'ul, in all his teaching about the Law, must not have been to put it away. But rather, he is showing off the grace of G-d in turning us from viewing the Law as a stumbling block, to it being placed in our very being. He argues that the Law is not something we must do, but something we cannot help but do.  Read his letters in this context and see if it does not become clear. Only in this context is Paul not in direct conflict with the words of Yeshua and the prophets that G-d's Torah shall never pass away.

Oh the goodness, mercy and grace of YHVH!

See i can do nothing on my own it takes the indwelling of the Holy Ghost in me to lead me he lets me know what is that good and acceptable thing to do in my life when he called me back from the darkness i was in he took away all my sin the sin that was willful and the sin that was not and he set me free then he started the process of sanctifying then one night he filled me with the Holy Ghost and with an anointing he is using me to pray for others at church and to bind the working of Satan in the lives of others he blesses them when i lay hands on them i can not explain it it is like a power or energy takes over he starts to pray threw me in tongues and they get bless filled touch by the power of the Holy Ghost so if willful sin is not forgivable then how me someone that was filled 20 years ago with the spirit backslide into a life of sin because i felt i could not do right or was not good enough for God i would not believe he would forgive me of the sin i did i was told that because i smoked a cigarette i lost the Holy Ghost well he told me a while back in an interpretation of tongues this.{ From the womb i have been with you even in your times of turning i have been with you i will never leave you or forsake you and i love you} AND HE HAS ALWAYS SPOKE TO ME LIKE THIS.

David, you do not have to convict me of the love of Jesus Christ.  I know personally what he did for me and others when they were born-again.  However, I have witnessed many, many who said they were once born-again and went back into a life of such sin that they barely can reason or think for themselves.   In 1992, I awoke one night upon hearing the voice of my heavenly Father who spoke loudly three times (Marcia, tell my people to repent)! He said many will try to prostitute the gifts of His Holy Spirit.  He said on every street corner they will be selling His Word and everyone will be writing books and tapes, using His Word to make money.  He said Marcia, I have given them my all and they are still messing up.  David, I have cried and grieved for years and Father will not allow me to turn my eyes and ears away from what is grieving Him.  I cannot soften His messages through me no matter how much I try, not even to my own family.  I am persecuted day and night with grief.  When I am in a Church setting and I am crying while people are rejoicing, I cannot tell them that they will have to go through the wilderness before they can make it to the other side, because the Pastors are telling them otherwise.  Back in 1991, when the Holy Spirit was being poured out in Orlando, I received several messsages from my heavenly Father, and the most prolific message I received is that many will not come out of the wilderness because they will not use the Word, many will end up in the mental asylum and I have lived long enough to personally witness this in many lives.  Father said He will not honor those who do not honor Him.  I have cried and begged and pleaded for those that I have seen messed up and until they themselves learn how to use the word against the wiles of Satan and overcome, there is nothing anyone can do, hense the validity of the Word that states seek ye first the kingdom of G-d and His righteousness and all else will be given to you.. .  I know my messages is not received by many and that is how it is.  I have no one to answer to but my G-d.   I am an overcomer but what I had to go through to overcome!  I know about the demonic dreams and visions and dark valleys, I have been there and done that and while I was going through my wilderness, my mind would be so persecuted until I spoke the written Word aginst the attacks of the enemy and yielded to the Holy Spirit and then and only then I found peace.  It only gets easier as we grown in the fear and knowledge of the Lord. I did not want to hear about a three part messge on G-d's grace, mercy and forgiveness back then, I only wanted to hear what would give me peace and that was the written Word.  Nobody laid hands on me and anointed me with oil and all that stuff that people seem to believe works.  The only thing that works and keeps the demons away from our minds is the Written Word.  That is the sword.

He has given us power over are adversaries on this i know that he can not in no way cross the blood line and if we stay behind the blood line we have victory over Satan so that when he comes at us we can stand with authority and rebuke him in the name of Jesus we have the power over the dark forces that come after us.And by resisting the temptation we more so have the victory i have been delivered from smoking ,drugs alcohol ,lust you name it God has taken it from me when he saved me all things  changed now it has not been a easy road and at time i like to went crazy i hurt inside as he broke my heart down just to put it back the way he wanted it to be and even now he is still working on me but i do know that he that began a good work in me will finish it.

David, I thank G-d you have a testimony now of overcoming Satan.  However, there are many who are still out there.

Here is something I witnessed.  One day, my friend called me to tell me that this kid  had beaten up his mother, because she had taken his Church organ and pawned it for money to buy drugs.  When I heard this I began to mourn for this kid, because I knew what the Word said about honouring your mother and father that your days may be long in the land.  Even though his mother had provoked him to anger, the written Word will prevail in his life because to every action, there is a re-action.

This kid's mother was told by G-d that if she did not give in to His Holy Spirit she would die (this is what she told everyone), because she had gotten into a very bad car accident and had almost died but G-d saved her life and this kid's life. (She was running the streets with this same kid when the accident occurred).  My friend told me that the mother of this kid had told everyone she was a Christian and she went to Church regularly and went down to the pulpit almost everytime the doors opened and cried even while she was taking drugs. (my friend witnessed this) and swore to me this woman was a Christian and I kept telling her that I felt in my heart that she was still on the drugs (I did not go to that Church and did not physical see this individual) but G-d is Spirit and He give us discernment.  This person had met someone who had introduced her to drugs prior to her accident and she forsook the Lord who bought her and willfully turned to Satan who used this man. She in turn introduced her husband and anyone who was weak to the drugs and they all became addicted. She stole and did anything she could to get the drugs and almost died several times and was also in and out of prison.

G-d wrapped his arms around this boy in the form of the people at the Church who sort of adopted him and he was always in Church.  However, when Satan used his mother to tempt him to anger instead of speaking the written Word against the thoughts, he failed and gave in by beating his own mother.  The last I heard from my friend is that the boy has left off going to Church and has taken up the standards of the world and the parents are still into the drugs and is barely alive.  All it takes is for us to take our eyes off the Word and boom!!! back in the devil's den.  I will never forget that family as I could still see (in my mind) this sweet inocent little boy in his suit playing sweet music and worshipping Jesus Christ and I pray that he somehow finds his way back.  I have several stories like this one, many have already died steeped in their sins because they refuse to let go of the things of this world.  Most of them will tell you they were once born-again.  I will always struggle to understand how someone can be born-again and turn their back on the Lord who delivered and washed them clean and pure and go back into that degregated state of darkness and sinfullness, but then this morning the parable of the seeds (the Word of G-d) kept coming to my mind. Luke chapter 8. Then again, Jesus did say He cannot pour new wine into old vessels, else they would burst.  This woman told everybody within earshot she was born-again and even the Pastor of the Church believed her for a while, because she had a form of godliness, yet she denied the power to overcome her carnal ways.  She had an idol she worshipped more that G-d's Word (her drugs) and Exodus chapter 20 verse 1-6 is manifesting in her life and in the lives of her children.

Could it be that many were never really born-again?  I suppose I will never know that mistery huh!  However, I do know the tree will still bear fruits after it's kind, good or evil regardless of whether we willfully sin or not.  Do you agree?

the word says you can tell a tree by its fruit if a person is born of God they may still sin in the beginning but after a time the holy ghost is going to start to lead them in the ways of the lord i think if we get saved and there is no change in the life of that person then in there heart they where not committed but in my case 20 sum years ago i was and filled with the holy ghost but let go and listened to so called ppl that said i had lost the holy ghost because i smoked a cigarette well with this and being a new Christian i gave up and a long road of pain and hard times came mind you my childhood was a mess of abuse and abandonment by the time i was 16 i was on my own i know what it feels like to be homeless and lost without hope and i know God has called me back out of all this to help the same as i was lost and without hope believing a lie that the devil told me God in no way will ever leave us or forsake us his love is unchangeable and eternal he is faithful even when we are not there is nothing that can separate  us from his love yes i do believe that ppl get save and then some mess up and fall back into sin then we get the backslider in which we know to backslide from something one must be save to be in a backslidden state so it does happen and God will forgive and restore one that is in that boat did the backslider willfully get that way yes they had to know they where braking the will of God but we have the devil that will lie and say it is all over now look at what you did he makes it seem hopeless but God said he would forgive he said he was married to the backslider look at the parable of the prodigal son it tells how this can happen but look at the fathers reaction he sat and watched and longed for his return and when he was a far of the father saw he and ran to him an hugged and kissed his neck and rejoice at his return  totally forgiving him and bring him back in to his house and his graces that is the mercy of christ in action we do mess up we do get our eyes off him and he will bring us back one way or the other we must be strong now in this day that are the last God said to us in interpretations that this is the last generation and he is sending his son to get his children we need to reach as many as we can now with boldness and with the full love of Jesus .
