| Sometimes It Doesn't Pay To Be Stubborn |

2:5 But by your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed. 2:6 For he will render to every man according to his works: Wrath is an interesting thing. Stubbornness not only challenges others, it challenges God's ability to bring us to righteousness. Our voyage to righteousness requires a pure heart, not one that's impenitent and stubborn. I myself am stubborn, but my stubbornness is of the mind, in most cases, I won't let my limitations stop me in most cases. We have many who are like that. That kind of stubbornness is the kind that is righteous, because we are fighting on God's side. When we use our stubborn nature to raise Him up, to raise Jesus up, and to empower the Holy Spirit, then we are being stubborn for a good cause.
I know one stubborn man who doesn't realize that his hardened heart is hurting him as much as he believes that it is protecting him. The pain caused him by his stubbornness isn't just affecting him internally, it's affecting him externally as well. I know another stubborn man who can't see that his living in the past hurts him as well. I'm a very stubborn woman, truly, and I will work hard in showing these two people that they are heading down a path of continued pain. Pain in a hardened heart is not fun. This is the word and the light of Jesus Christ, Amen and so it shall be.
