Old vs New

Well it has been a real struggle this week my car broke down at a critical time. I have a student I tutor in Math and English as part of my weekly activities. I had just come from school and went to get essentials at the local mall when my car stopped running. It would start and then as I accelerated it would quit. Oh it was so frustrating. Yet when I took a minute to breath I realized that God had really been faithful and good to me, because I was off the streets and in a parking lot where I could wait for help. I tell you this not for sympathy but to share how quickly we return to our old nature when things are not going our way. The Bible says that when I accepted Christ I became a new creation in Him. Amen. But the longer I am in this world I find I am in a battle that will never end till I am with my Savior and Lord. How I pray that I will grow more like Jesus everyday and be less of my old nature who only wants to rage and rant over things of temporary importance. Oh and my car it turned out to be a gas pump issue that was quite expensive, yet through it all I knew God was by my side.

You know, God is always faithful....just as you mentioned, He set you in a parking lot!!

You overcame your frustration and saw your problem in the light of Christ (The Anointed Word).  Now that is what Jesus would have you do. Now  Jesus the intercessor who is sitting at the right hand of His Father, will ask that Angels be employed to assist you..  He will take care of each problem you give to Him. It is that simple. It's all about communication.

Interesting, and all too common experience! How often I found that I "revert" to my old self. But wonder of wonders, the more time I spend with the Savior, the more like him I become. In fact, it has taken years to get this far. It takes time! But more than that, desire as well! Bummer about your car Kim, lol.

Thanks Mike and Laura. Yeah I tell everyone I know that if we truly leave our burdens with God and not pick them up to solve them in our flesh then we can see our Savior's love and kindness in every problem. I still have a car that can break down on me but more importantly I have a heavenly Father who can get me back on the road again. It is just that difficulty in really leaving the burdens at His feet.
