2:1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 2:3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 2:4 And my speech and my preaching [was] not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Perhaps it is time for Christians to return to the elementary school practice of Show and Tell. Preaching is not turning our culture toward God. Instead our culture has turned our preaching toward prosperity, positive thinking, entertainment, and denial.
Maybe, like Paul did in Corinth, we should turn to Show and Tell -- a demonstration of the Spirit and power of the Gospel instead of a lecture about it. Peter and John said: "We cannot help but speak about the things we have seen and heard."
Why don't we begin to talk about the things we have seen and heard from God? No one cares about our theories or doctrines. They have explained the Gospel away with their philosophies. But one thing that no one can explain away is the reality of what God has done in my life and your life.
That is what we need to Show and Tell from our heart, with tears. God transformed my life in 1970 and I haven't been the same since. That is a fact no one can deny. |

| When I went to Bible college in 83, there was a large crowd there that were like Simon in Acts 8. Now these same people are in our pulpit. That is the main reason I left. There were even classes in tithing, what to wear, what to preach, in order to get a large tithe. |

They say, "Pastor preach about the words in the Bible." But I say, "I know how to read the words,

| I thank God for my mentor, Samuel Logan Brengle, for his testimony to a full salvation while he was here on earth. I also walk in the beauty of free and full holiness. What peace, what rest to just trust Jesus! It's victory all the time and I am altogether glad to be alive...the coming days will be very dark indeed however, but that is when we will truly shine. No games anymore!! I hope there are others, especially SA folks, that enjoy holiness and the peace that passes all understanding.
