Oh I just figured out what BTW stands for DUH!!! By the way!!! After playing the apple game a few times I am not so sure it is stressless. LOL Yes mowing is my favorite relaxing pasttime. My God time. I can't get down on my knees as easily as I used to so I decided to take my prayer time to the mower. In Christian Love, J |

| My friend Betsy sent me this, I am a nut case for fun stuff. Our lives are so full of "stressful things" we need to relax and give it all to God. "Let Go and Let God" is my motto. He loves to help us... He wants to take care of us. I love being able to talk to Him and tell Him my joys and woes. He blesses us so. |

Jan, Do you want to bring your mower and pray at my house? :)
One of my favorite worship times is driving on long trips. I play Praise and Worshp CDs and pray sometimes for hours. (No, I don't close my eyes!) |

Oh, I was so distracted by visions of Tarzan, I forgot to let you know when I pray!
Well since I am blonde, I can only do one thing at a time :) So I pray at night before bed. And all day long, as the need arises. I like to think that "praying without ceasing" means to always be in prayer mode and ready for battle. |

Jan, my husband was saved about 3 years ago. During that time, he owned a landscape company. I can't tell you how many times a sentence started with "When I was on the mower today, God told me..." When I saw the title of this blog, I started cracking up. I guess the Lord figures that now is as good a time as any... For me...daily, in the morning, while the family is still sleeping. Special times...always the beach! |

At work, doing the dishes is a often a daunting task in which you are in the back all by your lonesome for about 45 minutes. I love catching up the dishes because it is the best time for me to devote to spending with God! I also like to pray when I am walking to and from work but I have had a couple of traffic scares because I was so focused on our conversation so I probably shouldn't do that so much anymore. :D Oh, Rosie and JAN... I am with you two, love Harleys! Actually just got off one a few hours ago... :) Cj |

| Cj, are you serious about the Harley? You look too young to be buying a Harley. ~mike |

Rita Yeah every once in awhile I too cease talking and listen for a while just in case He (God) wants to get a word in. He knows that is hard in my case.. I am a talker. Thank goodness He has a sense of humor.LOL Mike Does your wife like to mow? I know most women don't like to hear about a woman who likes to mow HA.. but I do I really do. |

No Rosie, sadly I don't. I sold it for college money. :( Had a 2006 sportster but yesterday I was on a custom bike (its like a 76 sport frame and all the parts are from different years but it is beautiful!) of a friends. The harley I have right now is actually my father's but its in my possession for the moment which I love! It is a classic fatboy. I know what you mean about the ground not giving easily... When I was fourteen we went on a bike run up by Placerville with alot of hairpin turns and a guy wrecked right in front of us. My dad said it was the worse wreck he had seen. The guy had bad road rash and broken bones... I felt so bad but there was nothing we could do and help came pretty fast. This is going to sound awful, but I have only mowed a lawn twice. :) I don't really know if I like it or not. (I'm the youngest with six brothers so I'm not exactly first canidate for that job!) Cj |

| Mowing is relaxing. I mow at our church also. Lots of God time. You are still young. I didn't mow when I was young. After I got interested in gardens and flowers I found that if I wanted to keep the flowers intact I would do all the mowing, So, I started having time for thinking, relaxing. Then I found that I could talk to God for those 3 hours uninterrupted. Sweet. Have been doing that ever since. |

I know what you mean Jan. The company that mows the lawns in my neighborhood chopped down all of my lilies that were comming up !!! I almost cried !!!!! |
|
|
Jan, you probably won't like this, but I don't let her mow. Some things are meant for men to do.
HA!! You thought I was serious, didn't you?! Actually I don't let her, but it has nothing to do with a man/woman thing. Now you're wondering, aren't you? :-) |
