17:1 These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the son may glorify thee:
Glory is a marvelous word, but in order to bring God glory, you must DIE. Jesus performed many miracles, but He brought ultimate glory to God when He DIED. If we are to become like Christ, we have to die. This sounds cliche, but it is not. YOU HAVE TO DIE (to your flesh). It's not about what you want. You have to lay down your life for the things of God. You have to lay down your life for your purpose (ministry, calling). You were created with a purpose and so you must die to the flesh in order to fulfull your calling (destiny).
*I will witness to anyone, but I know that God has positioned me to work with children.
Glory: Giving God honor and praise. Admiring God. Boasting about God.
Honor: High respect.
Respect: Favor, proper acknowledgment.
After reading The Purpose Driver Life, I learned that the birds give God glory by flying in the air. I also learned that the sun, the moon, the stars, etc., give God glory when they come out at the appropriate time and shine.
Do you know your purpose? Why were you created?
First, you were created to worship God. This, believe it or not, gives honor to God. Worship means you live the way God wants you to live. Therefore, when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, that gives glory to God. That makes Him feel special and respected.
To locate the specific call on your life, first look at your passions. Whatever you are passionate about, that is most likely what God is calling you to focus on.
You need to hurry up and find your purpose. If you are not operating in your calling, you are not giving complete glory to God. You are out of place. Imagine if the sun did not shine, we would suffer the consequences, right? Since you are not walking in your calling (purpose), souls are suffering and dying. Why? Because you are not committed enough to find out why God made you for such a time as this.
God has called me to work with children. He made me specifically for that purpose. If you were to look at me, I look like I'm 16 (without makeup). I am barely five feet tall, but I have a big personality. God knew how to knit me together in order for me to relate better to the children. With all my education, I can still get to the kids' level and talk slang. The devil wanted me to eradicate that part of me. I thought I was just acting "simple" and "ignorant" but that is not the case. I am made for my purpose. You are made for yours as well.
*My husband and I have been in tight situations, and I had to squeeze myself through small passages (moving furnitures in small hallways). God made me small so I would be able to fit :)
Examine yourself closely. Pray and worship God and He will show you your purpose. Only you can fulfill this purpose. Do you have an abundant of mercy for people? Study that closely. Do you love to cook? Study that closely. That skill may lead you to your purpose. Nothing is a waste of time. I used to braid hair when I was a kid, and God used that skill when I got older. Five years ago, I used to braid hair and anointed the customers' heads. Nothing is a waste of time. God placed everything in you and around you for a reason.
Don't be selfish, inconsiderate, and unwise. Learn your purpose because those souls are waiting. When you find your mission, you will be more focused and more complete. You will bring ultimate honor, respect and glory to the Father as well. Don't let the birds beat you in the obedience department. Be like Christ. He was obedient to God and God ended up receiving glory. Bring glory to God today.

| My sister this was a powerful blog...If only people would find their purpose and then begin to walk in it. God has given all of us gifts and talents, and He requires all of us to use them for His Glory. I'm happy to hear that you have found yours with children....use it my sister that God may get the glory out of your life, and may you be a blessing to all those children whose life you shall touch ;o) |

| Wow... this hit me... Purpose...you must stay in Worship for your true calling to be revealed--God has blessed us in soo many areas if you don't stay closely connected, you can easily mistake a gift for your calling. Great post my Sister>> God has blessed you with so many gifts>Keep using them for His glory:) |
