Physicist Claims He Can Prove the Existence of God

CBS 11 News from Dallas-Fort Worth has released a video of Frank Tipler, Ph.D., a professor of math and physics at Tulane University who says he can prove that God is real.

"It's coming out not of paleontology or religious mysticism but that of hard-nosed physics, which is what I like," he said.

In the video, Tipler claims that by following the laws of general relativity and quantum mechanics, one is forced to conclude that God exists. If that is the case, the supernatural then becomes natural, according to the definition of science.

Jonathan, good post.  My thoughts:

Very interesting news cast. I was glad to see they didn't ridicule the man.  As an engineer and the husband of a physicist, I have always contended that we can find God in the scientific foundations. I have no problem with believing that if someone studied the theory of relativity enough they would "see God", too. Let's face it...Einstein started with the premise that God exists.

Additionally, it brings to mind a verse that tells us that God is there for us to see if we simply look...
