| Bail Out |
|
| |
6:5 For if we have become united with `him' in the likeness of his death, we shall be also `in the likeness' of his resurrection; 6:6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with `him', that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin; 6:7 for he that hath died is justified from sin. 6:8 But if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him; 6:9knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death no more hath dominion over him. 6:10For the death that he died, he died unto sin once: but the life that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
I received a CD from a friend about my "old-church's" service yesterday....in the middle of the CD it went out...or stopped working....
I called the Media/Arts Director and asked him about a new CD. He is a friend of mine and we have done commercials together and he taped and edited one of my interviews about my testimony. (See my homepage for a link if needed) He said if it was urgent he would get me a tape but he didn't have any present right then. He was in the process of submitting it on-line and I could always watch it there too. After he was more than gracious and we had "caught-up" on how each other was doing...I was reminded of something...
How close do we get to the edge of a situation and then, I am going to call it with no negative connotations included, to "bail-out"...for whatever reason, but we bail-out maybe due to the stress level, discouragement, loneliness, suffering, despair, no hope in sight, loss of friends/family/possessions.....
God looks down on us and He can see the other side of the bridge of our life to where we can not. God says...just two more steps and you are there...you can do this with my yoke and burden being light and easy, press into Me...
For the resurrection power to come into our lives...don't we need to follow God's path....
How would our lives have been if Jesus had called those 10,000 angels to come, when He was only two more steps away....and now look, we are free because of Jesus. Not calling and possibly 'bugging' the media/arts director was my first thought...plus God has lead me to attend my former church where I was the Womens' Ministry Leader at, so I felt somewhat strange calling a 'different' church for their Sunday sermon. As people and how God referred to us as, sheep, we see only the present...God says to reach out and obey Him...stretch our faith in areas He calls us to....
Don't give up, that resurrection power is waiting for you...God sees you only have a little way to go....
....and He is right beside you...every step of the way..... |

Angela, you are a woman after God's own heart, thank you,...simply on your homepage and through out your blogs, this message is clear:
"Things don't go wrong and break your heart so you can become bitter and give up. They happen to break you down and build you up so you can be all that you were intended to be."some really smart peron~who obviously faced heartache with God!
