Put it this way Cinder's, at least Dick Turpin wore a mask and Robin Hood and his merry men robbed the rich and gave to the poor. Don't know much about bankers though... cos they're robbing themselves FOR themselves.  As for us lot, we're feeding them!  OUCH!!!

Lord knows my treasure better be in Heaven because I don't have much here. :)  But, you are so right!  Our trust is in the Lord alone!  He is our hope, and He is our treasure!

Everything we have here is temporary.  We need to remember that, and our biggest treasure, more than we can comprehend, is in Heaven.

My treasure is Christ....So I'm safe....

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

Gold was worth $32 an ounce in 1971.  President Nixon unpegged the US dollar from gold and let it "float" on the market.  He was forced to do this because of the tremendous costs of the Vietnam War and the "Great Society" welfare programs begun by President Johnson.  Gold soared to over $900 under President Carter (hostage crisis in Iran) and then again recently due to the stock market crash.  I am not saying you should go out and buy gold but paper money is really just a check from the government.  Government can pump out billions and billions of dollars but this just leads to inflation as markets always adjust to the true value of money.
When the bubble bursts, people often lose their life savings, their homes and jobs.  Economists call this the "crisis of over-production" when there are too many goods and services and not enough customers.
