I am visiting a family friend in jail weekly. He is 26 and got his 3rd DUI. I sent him the LEFT BEHIND series because they had no books available due to library reconstruction. Praise the Lord. I sent him a bible also and Son of Evil Street about my old pastor from Richmond being in a gang in the 50's (Victor Torres). Anyway, told Josh that my own son doesn't want to read them.
I got a letter from him today and want to share the beautiful news. This is an exerpt from his letter. He will be incarcerated until April, so pray for Josh. .....
"Theo is really missing out by not giving the "Left Behind" books a chance. I think everyone should read them, even if you aren't religious or follow another religion.I try to stay very open minded now, but there was a time not to long ago that I would have acted the same way. But now, I think they are great and can hardly wait to read the next. I have learned a lot from them. They have also had a huge impact on my faith and in bringing God and Christ back into my life. I am really glad that you introduced them to me. You can feel free to share with him how I feel about the books if you think it will sway him to read them."
Pray that my 31 year old son will also turn back to God. Thanks for sharing my God moment. I am thrilled! Can you tell? |

| Juanita, I did say a prayer for your son, and praise God for Josh getting reconnected with Jesus Christ! Sounds like you are doing the Lord's work, and I know your happiness is your earthly reward, not to mention the reward you will receive in eternity! I pray for Josh as he is incarcerated. |

I am also touched by Josh's letter. As you know I am reading the books as well and they have made me think everything through as well. With Will reading them along with me they make me think about everything more and more. I am glad he is reading them and that you are able to help him bring his thinking around. Hopefully Theo will come around. I did. Also I am glad you have given me an idea for where Will and I should go to church when he gets out this month. Thank you and God Bless.

With Will reading them along with me they make me think about everything more and more. I am glad he is reading them and that you are able to help him bring his thinking around.
