 What is the key to a man's purpose in life?
2:15 And Jehovah God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. It is interesting that right after God created man He put him to work as manager of the garden. Then He got man to name the animals. Man would be a doer and part of his fulfillment would come in finding his purpose in life and doing it. I can really identify with the way God wired men. I am pastor of Faith Baptist Church here in Covington VA. I have been pastor here for 32 years and I still love what I do. Sunday was Mother's Day I took my wife out for ice cream that afternoon, guess what we did on the way to ice cream? We stopped and looked at land for a new location for our church. Don't panic, we were just dreaming. :) The point is my purpose, my calling in life still gets my motor running. I think this is the way God put us together. Hey guys what causes you to jump out of bed in the morning? But there is another piece to this puzzle. God saw that a job, purpose or calling in and of it self would not be enough for man. So God created woman for man to share the journey with and as Elaine and I looked at that land Sunday I could remember the great adventure we have shared in starting and serving Faith. It wouldn't have been near as much fun without Elaine at my side. 2:21 And Jehovah God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof: 2:22 and the rib, which Jehovah God had taken from the man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. God knows us better than anyone men. He made us. To find real fulfillment in life men need God is the only one who can help us make sense of this life and he can give us that purpose and partner that will really fulfill us.  Do you think the writers of "24" figured that out? They always have Jack fulfilling his purpose (secret agent) and somehow helping his family.

Praise the Lord we had 363 in church Sunday for Mother's Day. Mother's day is a hard day to predict, either everyone comes in to visit or they leave to visit. This year they must have come in to visit. :) Our series on Heaven Help the Home went very well and I am really encouraged by your comments.
