| Act 4:13 Let Us Live In Such A Way |
|

4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they wondered; and they recognized that they had been with Jesus.
Peter and John did not have the credentials necessary to speak of religious matters. They had no degrees or training. These unlearned, uneducated, common, ignorant men were speaking with a boldness that caused the Pharisees to marvel and wonder.
They knew Peter and John had been with Jesus. They recognized the power and authority with which they spoke. They had seen it in Jesus. Jesus was a special case and the Sanhedrin dealt with Jesus in a special way to rid themselves of the problems He caused them. But these men, how were they able to do this? And how will they deal with them?
What about me?
Do I cause people to wonder?
For the right reasons?
Do people recognize Jesus in the words I speak or write?
Have I been with Jesus?
Where am I now?
Still following Him around listening to His words and getting it half-right?
Asleep in the Garden as He is up all night struggling in prayer?
At the Cross wondering what went wrong, this is not how it was supposed to be?
Hiding, afraid, not knowing what to do?
Gathering with others who are as unsure, uncertain as I am and seeking GOD's will?
Becoming a burning bush that is not consumed as the fire of GOD ignites me and my life changes forever?
Am I living an ordinary life in an extraordinary way as GOD opens my eyes and ears and heart and GOD opens my mouth, mind, and spirit to meet the needs of others?
According to the words of an old country song....Let's give them something to talk about (not for the reasons suggested in this song).
Let us live in such a way that people will have something to talk about.
Let us live in such a way that the hungry soul will see the banquet table we sit at and desire what we have (been given).
Let us live in such a way that people will be drawn to Jesus.
.....peace.....
