| " That'll Be the Day" |

The last couple of years we have heard that it's time for a change. But change to what? To many times we move on catch phrases like time for a change, ecommunity stupid and Reagan economics. The way it's said changes people minds. But the devil is in the details when we should put God in the details! We need to be careful what we say! 2:7 then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. We contain The Breath of God in us,so what we say can build up or tare down! John Wayne is my most loved Actor. When he talked, he talked out of strength and warmth to men and women alike. To the women he called them Little Lady or Little Sister and the men was Pilgrim. They said toward the end of his life he took on Jesus as his Savior. In 1965 the movie The Greatest Story Ever Told John Wayne had a small part with one line.He was the Centurion that said "Truly, this was the Son of God" That says it all don't it! The Rock & Roll Pioneer Buddy Holly saw a Wayne movie with some friends,in the movie John Wayne said "That'll Be the Day" Buddy like that phrase and for weeks they were going around saying That'll Be the Day! In 1957 Allison,Holly, and Petty wrote the song "That'll Be the Day". So what we say and hear matters! In 1973 John Wayne put out an Album called America Why I Love Her.On the second song on that album was called HYPHEN,John tells that a Hyphen can build a bridge or build up a wall it can build up or tare down.We separate ourselves to much like Native American,African American,English and French in stead of working together as one American building bridges Don't we do that as Christians by work as Baptists,Methodists,Pentecostals,or any other denominations and nondenominational Build walls up when we should be building bridges to one another and God! Like I said the devil is in the details when we should be put God in the Details! The Gaither Vocal Band did a song called Jesus And John Wayne. They sang "I see both of them in me and maybe that's the best that I can ever hope Tobe somewhere between Jesus and John Wayne." How to Ride like John Wayne! First talk to the horse."Listen up horse, you're gonna do what I tell ya,when I tell ya, or you're gonna regret it." Second ride with a cowboy slouch a posture that looks as though the rider has been poured into the saddle. We have to pour ourselves into The Gospel. How To Fight Like John Wayne! "Don't look for trouble,But if you get into a fight, make sure you win it." So my friends we are at war we walk in two worlds the physical one and The Spiritual one.We are in a Spiritual Fight that we didn't look for but we better win it by using the horse sense Th e Good Lord gave us. So in the way John Wayne may say it now Pilgrim,Little Lady, and Little Sister you listen and listen tight to The Good News and work it out.Just saying it don't get it done,so lets getter done so we can see Our Great Father in the Sky!!! |

Wow! I love this poetic blog. Walk & talk like Jesus and John Wayne. If you can saddle up omewheres in between there your riding well. I can actually hear John Wayne's voice saying it: ."Listen up horse, you're gonna do what I tell ya,when I tell ya, or you're gonna regret it."
I want to go see a John Wayne movie. God bless, and thank you very much. Truly. You said it well. |

This blog makes me wanna sing Saddle up your horses Started out this morning in the usual way Chasing thoughts inside my head of all I had to do today Another time around the circle try to make it better than the last I opened up the Bible and I read about me Said I'd been a prisoner and God's grace had set me free And somewhere between the pages it hit me like a lightning bolt I saw a big frontier in front of me and I heard somebody say "let's go"! [Chorus:] Saddle up your horses we've got a trail to blaze Through the wild blue yonder of God's amazing grace Let's follow our leader into the glorious unknown This is a life like no other - this is The Great Adventure Come on get ready for the ride of your life Gonna leave long faced religion in a cloud of dust behind And discover all the new horizons just waiting to be explored This is what we were created for [Chorus] [Bridge:] We'll travel over, over mountains so high We'll go through valleys below Still through it all we'll find that This is the greatest journey that the human heart will ever see The love of God will take us far beyond our wildest dreams Yeah... oh saddle up your horses... come on get ready to ride
I am so in a singing mood today!!! |

| Great blog Doyle. For some reason I thought of Ronald Reagan when he said "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall." |

| Your Right President Reagan did say tear down this wall in the 80's in 1973 John Wayne said that a Hyphen can build a wall that sperates us or a bridge to brings us together! |
