That's right, It's one thing to know it in your head and totally another and I might add [on a whole new level of power] when we know it in our inner man. That's why renewing the mind to the word of God is so important and so powerful. Practicing is part of renewing the mind. Practicing is part of "being a doer of the word" and "doing the word" is where breakthrough comes and most importantly it's where God is glorified and I think we all want to do that.

Yes!  If we don't do it now, how can we know that we will do what is right when under pressure?
It's like military training, they make you go throught it and go through it so that when the time comes it is second nature.

"when you choose to believe....then a song of praise...." that is the place where I am.....how you hold up under pressure is key...pressure can form you into something good.....like limestone under pressure becomes marble, coal under pressure becomes diamonds.....I need God, I can't be w/o Him or I am a mess.

Yes,

Coal under pressure becomes diamonds, the believer under pressure becomes a sweet song in the ears of our Master.

God is my provider. And my husbands.  He has brought through many, many dry spells and healed our children in emergency situations.  He is at work in our lives, and we serve only Him.

We were made for this!  It gets me excited!  An opportunity for God to move.  Yes...we need to start practicing now.   The biggest thing for me right now is I want to sow--not to get a harvest but to truly be a blessing to people.  It won't make any sense to them that we are doing exact opposite of what the $$$ amounts are saying.  What are some key ways that we can practice now?

Your motivation is right. It's not about getting but it's about blessing others but at the same time God wants to bless His children. It's the Father inside of Him. So our faith to receive needs to be there as well as the motivating factor in the giving / sowing which IS to bless others. But God sees it as both, "giving AND receiving" because God wants to provide not only to bless others through us but to bless "us too" as our Father. Pretty cool huh?

What are some key ways that we can practice now?

By continually renewing our minds to the fact that we go to Him first before letting the crunching of numbers effect us negativly. Practice singing praises to God right where you are at. Practice being a doer of the Word which in this case means to praise Him in the trial, praise Him with a heart filled with faith in Him. Practice taking authority over your mind and emotions. Also, by letting God lead you. Ask Him in every case, what should I do here, should I give to this person, should I give to this need or is there anything else you would have me do? That's being a servant, that's being usable and that's living a life that glorifies and praises God through our life.

This is a message that we need to hear over and over in our Christian walk. We are refined by the fire. We serve a wonderful Savior that knows no limits to Loving us. He desires to provide for us especially when in need. I KNOW His love in my life personally. He has provided for me when I needed it the most. I am still in a position of need yet He still satisfies my needs and through this, I become stronger!!! Thanks again Pastor!!!!
