One of satans greatest tactics over man is ignorance. Please hang in there with me for just a moment. First, don't be mad with me for using this word... People get mad when you use it, but, used quite often in the bible, it really just means: The condition of being uninformed or uneducated. Lacking knowledge or information. Where Satans' power over man has been (and is still), is to keep him ignorant of Gods truth. His success in distracting man away from Gods word is how he is able to steal so many of those we love and care about away.
These distractions are all around us and even appear in the church. The devil also distracts us from our own thoughts. Yes, even our own thoughts. I see so many people who keep the radios, televisions, and MP3s going all the time because it keeps there mind off of troubling thoughts, problems, or hurts.
MAN NEEDS TO DEAL WITH THE MATTERS OF LIFE, WHAT'S GOING ON AROUND HIM AND WHERE HE CAME FROM. HE HAS TO REASON THESE THINGS AND HE CAN'T BECAUSE OF THE SIN AND THE WORK OF THE DEVIL. Those issues, unresolved... either by satans distractions or by our own avoidance, NEED TO BE RESOLVED.
You see, if man was able to reason with the reality of life, often, they would lead him to God, because God shows Himself to man through His creations. But, people seem to be walking around in a fog of denial of their own condition... The nations condition... And maintain an ignorance of the Truth.
Twisting what God really said and presenting a false belief (another of satans tactics) keeps us ignorant too. Our ignorance of the truth allows us to fall for these lies. There are so many weapons of ignorance that I won't even try to mention here, but WE have the Truth presented in the Holy Scriptures my friends and WE MUST STUDY DAILY.
Jesus said in Matthew, chapt 24:
24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive and lead astray, if possible, even the elect (God's chosen ones).
25 See, I have warned you beforehand.
EVEN THE ELECT!... Thats me and you. How could you and I be lead astray?... BY OUR IGNORANCE OF THE TRUTH. KEEP STUDYING THE BIBLE. Avoid being distracted by this world and seek Gods' face.
One of the most distracting periods of each year is right upon us. Thanksgiving and Christmas... yes. Holloween far overshadows Thanksgiving now.
It is the biggest distraction of the year and has replaced a time of being thankful with horror films, ungodly ritual, and just vain activity. Christmas is filled with Santa, Rudolf, Snowmen, electric lights, and shopping that just distract us from the true meaning for Christmas.
I love you and I'm not really Chicken Little, but I am trying to promote studying God's Word annd searching for the truth so we won't be tricked away.
