When I read this scripture, sometimes involuntarily I kind of whence.Asking our Heavenly Father to search our hearts is a hard thing to do.When I have done things that only God and I know,it makes me ashamed.Then in the same instance I see a redeeming quality of the request.We are after all asking Him to see our heart.The Holy Spirit conviction is a tell tale sign you are still one of His children!!! 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, Do not take note of his face or how tall he is, because I will not have him: for the Lord's view is not man's; man takes note of the outer form, but the Lord sees the heart.
Also remember Romans 8:28 8:28 And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, `even' to them that are called according to `his' purpose.
