Proverbs 17:28
Funny- we were just talking about this subject in Bible Study on Friday- controlling our tongues. For effective ministry and fellowship we need to build each other up and speak kindly with love no matter the circumstance. Another verse, I can't remember wich one, (I'll find it later,) says " A kind (or was it gentle?) word turns away anger." It does take alot of discipline and more than a touch of Holy Spirit, to know when is best to speak and when to keep silent. This is actually something personally I need to work on.
