| But Lord, I was comfortable right where I was. |

Do you ever find that you finally get in a comfortable spot , your all snug and warm, ahhh life is great. Then all of a sudden you are outside that comfort zone, God has asked you to do something you were not ready for. I have been recently been asked to do something that is soooo far out of my safe, comfortable zone at first I said no way, not me I CAN"T! My Mighty Father , my I CAN God reminded me I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. So I guess I have a couple of choices, I can stick with the nope, not me, hang my hands down attitude, or I can Put my Faith into Action and Praise my Father for this opportunity. I choose the latter. There are many reasons God takes us out of our comfort zones, to discipline us, to teach us or so that we grow, but no matter the reason it is ALWAYS for our good and His glory, and we should always PRAISE HIM. We are all probably familiar with the story of Abraham, when God told him to offer Isaac as a burnt offering, I love in verse 3 of Genesis 22 " And Abraham rose up early in the morning. " It's so easy to rise early when we are on the mountain top, but do we rise up early in the morning during the storms and Praise Him for the storm. Do we glory in our tribulations, do we count it all joy when we fall into divers temptations? Do we Praise The Lord when we are out of our comfort zone. Do we Thank Him for the chance to learn and grow closer to Him even when it is uncomfortable? 12:11Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. 12:12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; 12:13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. I look at my life, the things going on with me personally, the things going on in our church and the things happening in our country and the whole world. God is still in control. I want that peaceable fruit of righteousness. I will lift up my hands to Praise My Savior and straiten out my feeble knees to walk by Faith. Thank you Father, for the times I am high on the mountain top and thank you for the valleys and the storms that help me grow closer to you. Thank you Father for the times you take me out of my comfort zone. |
