'The Joy Of The Lord Is My Strength' - Weak...Tired...Depressed...Lonely....Feeling left out, abandoned, no one cares, and/or even if you have no purpose here. Those are just thoughts of the enemy. We have been up and we sure nough have been down. We have had doors closed in our face, people walk out of our life, let loose from a job, lied on, stolen from, criticized, and called every name but a child of God. What do we do during these times? Do we sit a cry? Do we go to our Leave Me Alone Corner, or do we meditate on the word of God? Surely in each of these cases God has spoken a word of hope to our spirit which brought joy. The scripture declares that the JOY of the LORD is our STRENGTH. That means reagardless of the situation, God knows we can face it because He has equipped us. Some of us have some much joy, we need to share the overflow. Ministry is helping hands and we are to help one another. Pick up the phone and just say I was thinking about you. Send an email or write a letter (ok some of you are saying, "Did she just say write a letter?") Send a gift of love. Send up a prayer! Everyone needs to be encouraged. When we are enouraged through the word...it brings joy and we get strong because we understand and trust God for who He is. If we could just THINK! on the very goodness of the Lord...you can't tell anyone that you don't get happy and feel like pressing your way. Some time and there will be many of those times when you have to encourage yourself. There is nothing wrong with getting a word from well. Scripture also declares that out of our belly shall flow rivers of living water.....but we must believe on Jesus as the scripture has said. God don't want us down or depressed. He knows where strength lies and it is in His joy. How many of us want the joy of the Lord? Well seek Him and stay in His word and the joy of the Lord is yours. -
11:9 With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor, but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. |
