today is tuesday my second day at OSU. Being on the unit that is. It was really rought. I had a guy code and pass then I had a man who herinated his brain. This is where you have a hole where your spinal cord goes into your skull. When people herinate, the brain starts to go down the medulla oblanganta, and go intos the area where the spinal cord is, blocking all of your message receptors that goes to your brain to tell it to breathe and to have a heart beat gets blocked. Then people loose their life. We call these people brain dead. It happens mostly with head injuries.
My guy was young with your kids, and I just thought what if that was us, it was hard watching this mans mother. She kept saying my son my son. It was hard to watch and not have tears and we aren't allowed to cry.
Thank god I have chris I can call and cry to in the bathroom......lol.
On a brighter note, personally god has been so good to us. Just when I think god has abandoned us, he shows me that he still loves us and that we are getting through life. And I just thank him for that....'
