"DEALING WITH DISAGREEMENTS & MISUNDERSTANDINGS"

Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desire for pleasure that war in your members? (James 4:1, NKJV).

Disagreements and misunderstandings are part of life and will always happen. What is important is how we handle our differences. With the Presidential Election fast approaching, it is easy to allow our passions to become misplaced creating arguments, fights, and hard feelings which can easily become more than disagreements.

We need to set aside our overhelming need to be right and focus on Christ. We simply are not going to view things the same. We can express our opinions without hurting one another. We can examine the facts without degrading another. We still may end up disagreeing but agreeably.

Prayer: Lord, forgive me for letting out my own sefish need to be right. Give me wisdom to avoid
           arguments and strife. Examine my heart and change it so that it does not seek to fulfill
           fleshly desires. Help me to keep my heart set on You and eternal things and not this
           world. In Jesus' name I pray...Amen !
