Dear Heart,
For God so loved the world there is no fear in love. We love Him because he first loved us with His only begotten Son. But he who fears has not been made perfect in God. Therefore, Jesus who is love is the fulfillment of His will. Whoever believes in Him should not perish in fear but shall be made perfect in love, imagine that!
Good day! I woke up this morning with you in my thoughts. I found myself thinking about perfect love. When I arose I went to my computer and did a word search on perfect love and it yielded 6 Scriptures. As I read these scriptures the truth clicked yet again in my heart. We are vessels of perfect love constantly being perfected by our commitment to keep covenant with the Word.
Jesus said, as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. Whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
