"No it's not, it says your name is Shawn right up there."
That may be the name that I was given, but believe me there are many times that I could have been called Moses and it would have fit, and guess what? I'm not the only one.
Don't believe me?
"I can't teach in Sunday school, I don't know enough."
Sounds like something Moses would say.
3:11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
Not you? Maybe this sounds familiar?
"Witness? They'll think I'm crazy."
Hmmm.
4:1 And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.
"I can't pray for them, I wouldn't know what to say."
4:10 And Moses said unto Jehovah, Oh, Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant; for I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
"Can't someone else do it? I'm busy."
4:13 But he said, "Oh, my Lord, send, I pray, some other person."
This will make me popular.
"How can I be expected to tithe? Look at the economy. Besides, tithing isn't in the New Testement."
22:21 They said, "Caesar's." Then he said to them, "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."
Who's your source? If it isn't God, then maybe you do have something to worry about.
6:17 As for the rich in this world, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on uncertain riches but on God who richly furnishes us with everything to enjoy. 6:18 They are to do good, to be rich in good deeds, liberal and generous, 6:19 thus laying up for themselves a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life which is life indeed.
You see, every one of us at some point or another has been just like Moses. God asks something of us and we start with the excuses. Why? We simply forget (or maybe just don't believe) one thing,
4:13 I can do all things in him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
God is the one who gives us the know how.
God is the one who puts the truth into our words to convince the lost.
God gives power to our prayers.
God provides all our needs.
God calls us to action.

Amen Shawn That's what I used to pray, here I am GOD send somebody else.
or use me to day GOD as long as it don't cost me any money or I would say yes GOD if it don't cost me over $100.00. anyway He got me straightened out on that but I am still a work in progress.
