Lonesome Prairie

     I wrote this in the 90's you tell me what was I thinking when I write this!
                               
                                          Lonesome Prairie
                           I will ride that lonesome Prairie, and I
                      will see all the glory.
                           I have been riding this prairie for years.
                       There's nothing like a sunrise that greets you
                        every morning with new hope.
                             There's a real beauty in a sunset with a
                         redness that fills the sky and a soul like fire.
                         Everyone different like people.So I'll ride that
                         lonesome Prairie until I see all the glory.
                              There's a real joy to see an eagle sore
                         high and graceful in the sky. When you  see that
                         it's almost like you're up there with him, so I'll
                         stay on that Prairie and will always see the glory.
                               When I travel that Prairie and sit by my fire
                         I can see all the stars so bright that cannot
                         be put into words. It gives me an inner peace.
                         All I can say is that it's like the love of what
                         The Lord has showed us. That we all seem to
                          have forgotten. That's why we have to get away
                          by ourselves to see all that we have forgotten,
                          for without Him, our life is like a desert without
                          an oasis.
                                So I'll travel that Prairie and see His Almighty
                           glory the Prairie that isn't so lonely.

     So what am I saying you be the judge!!!

So what you are saying is that though things seem like it is a lonsome journey, you see the handiwork of God and feel His presence with you, therefore you are comforted and not alone but have a good and faithful companion.

beauty of the Lord for he is with you on the journey
without Jesus we have nosuch peaceful way in life..
With Jesus we have all things through Him till the day we go home..

From the picture you give in this writing, it sounds as if you're pushing onward with Jesus, determined to both remember His faithfulness with each step, and enjoy the beauty of the journey (with revelation) as you anticipate the security of what awaits at the end. :)

Doyle,
Are you saying that there are times we need to get away to spend time with God, all by ourselves...  I grew up in West Texas and it's like you described.  Many nights I spent by myself watching the stars, thinking and praying.  And even though it was just me and I got lonely, I wasn't alone..

You write excellent poetry, Doyle.
