The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.
Have you ever defragmented your computer? My friend Jeremy asked me that one day, and my obvious answer was no. He explained to me that on our PC's we install and uninstall a lot of programs and during the uninstallment of those programs some of the information sticks around and attaches itself for use with other programs. But more often than not it doesn't get used, and just takes up space and bogs down your computer, so you can run the defragmentation program to clean it up.
Our lives lots of times need a defragmentation. We've got certain things lingering around in our hearts that's simply just bogging us down and creating an agitated environment for ourselves. What I find interesting is sometimes its pieces of God that need to be defragmented and put back together that we may have the peace of God (I love the bumper sticker "you wont know the PEACE of God until you get a PIECE of God"). Sometimes when we're going through a situation we try to grasp at straws trying to resolve it and grab different pieces of God until we find the right part to fix our situation.
Its says in Acts 20:27 For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.
What we need to do is take on the full counsel of God, take all of the things that we have learned about our great and wonderful Savior Jesus Christ and put it all together. Sometimes its things that we learned about God from our childhood, or even from before we were saved but given scriptures, bundle them together and see what God is speaking to our hearts on a broader scale working us through the situation.
Philippians 4:7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Last Sunday I performed at Calvary Chapel Uncasville, here's a link to the performance Calvary Chapel Performance
