The temptation to sin does not magically disappear when you accept Jesus.

I think this is where so many people when they become christians actually fall away.......there's a tendency to think all is going to be perfect and good in my life now that I'm a christian. When in reality, that is when satan starts working his hardest.....

It is a CHOICE my sister...Every man is tempted of his OWN LUST and enticed.....but through Christ we can have the VICTORY...Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound....GOD FORBID!!!!

And now the tests begin......  I think people see our Father as the magical genie in a bottle.  Our test is to stand firm in what we believe and to carry his message to those who are lost.

Galatians 5:17 If we walk in the Spirit we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.  It starts with crucifying ourselves our flesh and submitting to the Lord Jesus His commands and His ways.

The book I am reading, Free at Last by Tony Evans, talks about this.  I have been meditating on Romans 6 to really get this into my spirit.  The fact that we are "dead to sin" is mentioned in numerous ways 9 times in this chapter.  Thank you for sharing!
