Tomato Soup

Five-year old Johnny was in the kitchen as his mother made supper. She asked him to go into the pantry and get her a can of tomato soup, but he didn't want to go in alone. "It's dark in there and I'm scared." She asked again, and he persisted. Finally she said, "It's OK--Jesus will be in there with you." Johnny walked hesitantly to the door and slowly opened it. He peeked inside, saw it was dark, and started to leave when all at once an idea came, and he said, "Jesus, if You're in there, would You hand me that can of tomato soup?"

I am thanking God, that He is with me and I don't have to fear anything. I know He is there to hand me the can of tomato soup.


God has blessed us with a most powerful tool; the Bible. If used properly, it will separate our faith from our fear.

I think it really shows how we let our fears overcome us. If we know God is always with us, then we do even have to ask. We need to start practicing our faith, believing in God and not questioning God are you there for me. Thats what I think anyhow.

Amen, Shelly! I needed to read this tonite! It is exactly what I believe and yet my fears... oh they can lead me astray. Thanks for the reminder of where my loyalties need to be and remain! Be Blessed!

Awww...that is so cute! And yes, I agree! I am so greatful that He walks with me through the dark places and shelters me from the storms.
