| Love . . . |

What is love? I don't mean the kind you see in movies, not the boyfriend-girlfriend stuff. I mean true love.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son so that whoever believes in Him shall have everlasting life. (John 3:16) That's the kind of love I'm talking about.
How do you share love? It's in a smile, or even a friendly glance. It's in talking to a stranger, or helping someone you don't know get groceries in their car. It's picking up the tab at lunch for a friend, or tipping the waiter a little extra. It's calling a friend out of the blue to see how they are doing or sending someone a card to let them know you care. It's holding your tongue when your flesh tempts you to be rude.
Love is sharing your life with people around you. It's sponsoring a child in a third-world country. It's tithing and giving love offerings. It's holding a child or stooping down to talk to them. It's walking a little slower and watching the world around you. It's looking up and enjoying the beauty God has created.
Love is sharing Jesus to those around you. Love is allowing Jesus to live in you. Love is obeying God and following His will. Love is living a Christ-centered life. |
