| A Book to help parents understand their autistic children... |

For parents with kids with autistic children...we have one...and he is a wonderful child!
Mark Haddon has a way of communicating what is in the minds of children who can't communicate well. This book does a brilliant job of helping a parent understand how an autistic child thinks, copes, and responds.
Caution: There is some rough language in this book (about six times) that adds absolutely nothing to the message of the book at all. It could have been written without the bad language and would have been a better book.
In this book, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, an autistic child finds a dog that has been killed. As any child would do, he uses his imagination to pretend he is a detective searching for the killer. The story unravels with several other "curious incidents".
This book is meant for adults who have special needs children. I would not recommend it for other children to read because of some of the adult themes and the foul language. |
